This item works perfectly, and is accurately described. It is a "socket" adapter that will convert a European lamp that has a 14mm diameter socket (E14) to an American style 12mm socket (E12) so that it will accommodate a Candelabra base (or C7 type) bulb.

Lamps purchased in Europe always have a socket that is 1mm or 2mm larger than American lamps, so they can only be used with bulbs intended for their 220 volts. This product adapts the socket to fit bulbs intended for 110 volts. Of course, a "plug" adapter is also needed.

I used E14 To Candelabra Base Socket Adapter for 2 month already. I bought it for desk lamp I bought in Austria. In my desk lamp I use this heavy Fluorescent lamp so it does not melt the tip of the screen in my laptop. I move and readjust my desk lamp all the time.

There is not too much to review - It works.

Looked to be good quality- bought it for the good price too- just needed one (for a missing one) but got two just in case. It was to short and did not make contact in order to turn the light bulb on- I tried modifying both to make them work- no luck, so needing to buy the same adapter from a different maker at this point. I ruined the ones I got but I suppose that's okay- they are cheap. Just wish I had read the other 1 star reviews then I would have known this adapter wouldn't work for me either.

So we bought these fancy chandelier from istanbul and when came back to houston guess what our bulbs here do not fit in these chandeliers so as usual amazon to resue and figured out this one is E14 size and candelabra base is E12 size and instead of paying $5 per bulb i have 3 needed i bought these,works perfectly
