Look just like Schaler branded parts without the Schaler brand name stamped on them - there is a little Fender logo on the bottom - real cool.

These strap locks are the greatest - they work perfectly every time and will survive years of on the road abuse. I have carried an extra set with me in my case in the event that I broke one - but this has never happened.

Touring, bar bands, garage bands or bedroom heroes all need these strap locks on every guitar and strap they own. And since the guitar isn't hanging by the hole in the strap the strap lasts years longer.

This is my second set for another guitar and while I don't swing it like a propeller around my body, it has served quite well. I have heard of screws pulling out regardless of brand but have never seen this happen to any guitar. The button screw may be larger, more coarse or finer thread than your existing strap button so compare before just assuming it will do. My first guitar had a larger hole requiring a thin piece of toothpick glued into the hole before setting the new screw. Works great for over 2 years. New guitar has almost perfect match to button screw. Note: Felt washers should be compressed by button to ensure button sits firmly.

I wanted a basic set of guitar strap locks to swap out with my factory standards. It took me less than 10 minutes to install these from point of opening bag to attaching the strap to the guitar. Everything was sized right and the installation was seamless. Had black and white felt pads in the kit. Product is made overseas (I think it said Indonesia), but it was obviously made under some decent quality control.

I purchased these strap locks and buttons to replace my Strat's stock strap buttons. It was a breeze mounting the strap lock buttons in place of my original buttons. I was worried that the screws would be too long because they were longer than my original screws but they worked perfectly and I have a super nice fit, just be sure not to over-tighten them, you just need a snug fit between the button with felt washer and your guitar. The quality is excellent, chrome finish, well made, with a pull type lock -- much better than Schaller and Dunlop -- you get a really secure lock by having to pull out to unlock your strap. Also be sure to mount the strap lock so that the strap lock "U" shape is positioned at the bottom -- so your buttons should be resting at the bottom of the "U" closest to the floor to get added security when playing. Although these are genuine Fender replacement parts, they are not made in USA, they're made in Korea, but made to the same quality standards you've always expected from Fender Instruments.

I've used Dunlop straplocks in the past, and these are far better. For one they pretty easy to get onto a strap, which I always found to be an issue with the Dunlop option. The locking mechanism is very solid and overall it seems like these will last for a long time.

I purchased 2 sets of these. The packaging was identical except one had a "Made in Germany" sticker and the other had a "Made in Korea" sticker. They seem identical in every way except the Korea set is imprinted with "Fender" and the Germany set is imprinted with "Schaller". You are basically getting Schaller Security Locks at a much lower price with these.

You will need a 13mm crescent wrench to attach the locks to your strap and a small Phillips screwdriver to install the buttons. Installation was really simple and took less than 10 minutes.

I installed these on a Fender American Standard Jazz bass and a Fender Classic 50s Precision bass. On both guitars I just used the existing button screws rather than the included screws. The included screws did seem to be the same diameter but just slightly shorter than the existing screws.

Both sets have been great and work as expected on my basses. The only potential point of failure I can see is if the nut securing the lock to the strap comes loose. I will be keeping a eye on that.

I own a 1995 Fender American Standard Stratocaster that I bought new. Until recently I never wore a strap because I only played sitting down. However I've since started standing to play and decided I needed some secure straps. I bought this set based on the great reviews. I was preparing to replace the original strap buttons on my stratocaster when I noticed a curious thing. The strap locks were IDENTICAL to my original buttons! I had never heard that strats come built in with strap locks and being the original owner, and never having taking the guitar in for servicing, I was 100% sure they weren't replaced. So I tested it with the Schaller strap locks I have on my Gibson ES-355, and found it's a Schaller style for sure. Wonderfully secure feeling! Amazing quality!

Tested by the guitar mags to be the best strap lock available. These are basically the same as Schaller strap locks. They cost less money and I think the parts are interchangeable. It is still best to keep them seperated as to their original manufacturer (disclaimer.) I know that the Fender buttons will work in the Schaller strap portion of the lock.
