This is a great product. It makes perfect cappuccino. Easy to use. I would get the one cup one, because it's easier to tighten, clean, etc. I will tell you a secret: use chocolate milk. It will be a nice surprise for you.
9-20-2014 Addition: I see the wide discrepancies in the reviews and cannot really explain it. I have had more than one of these cappuccino makers, and they work fine. I have given it as a gift to a friend of mine, and he has been using it twice a day for more than a year. The other reviews don't tell you what was wrong. So, in the absence of those details, I will simply state what could go wrong. First, there is an indicator line in the bottom half of the maker. Do not add water above that line, or you will create too much pressure. Second, the black knob in the center of the top half has to be pushed down to create cappuccino. Third, keep the heat on the stove in between low and medium. That will give you better and plenty of froth. Forth, and perhaps most important, you must be absolutely certain that the thread between the bottom and top of the maker is properly engaged. This is a well-known issue with any espresso stove-top maker. In this case, the cappuccino maker is larger and heavier than your typical espresso maker. I place the bottom half on the counter and then, using gravity alone, I gently and perpendicularly place the top over the bottom half of the maker. If I am uncertain that the thread is properly engaged and without meeting resistance as I turn the top clockwise, I repeat the process. There must be no resistance. None. Don't let these lenghty explanations lead you to believe that the product is difficult to use. It is very simple! Enjoy you cappuccino.

My Mukka is metal colored, not the cow print. We LOVE it! We start every morning with a cup each (ours is a two cup). While it is heating, I barely cover the bottom of our mugs with vanilla bean syrup. After brewing, we added whip cream topping. I have bought extra parts and an extra pot for storage in case this one ever gives out, but after 8 years of service, this one and all of its parts are still working. The rubber gasket between the halves has leaked a couple of times. The simple fix is to put a drop of canola oil on it, rub it in and wipe any excess off. The leaking stops, and I haven't had to open the extra gasket yet. Don't be afraid to purchase this item... the product is delicious!

The pressure valve has been replaced three times already since two years.
Maybe it isn't the coffee maker's manufacturer's fault, but the plastic valve gets broken on its bottom. After it happened, it's tilting to a side, not sitting straight anymore, and the liquid almost blows out from it, not only on the top but through the joint between the unit and the valve too.
So annoying, it's spoiled the whole experiment of enjoying the coffee

When this works, the brew is excellent. But the base is not "grip-friendly" and getting a seal is very difficult, let alone grip needed to take it apart for cleaning. Costs a lot for something made of aluminum, stainless steel is much better. One too many leaks for me, it's recycle bin time.
