I installed one of these in my wireless doorbell transmitter, and noticed that it wouldn't always trigger when someone pressed the doorbell. After months of wondering what the problem was, I finally got out the mutlimeter and measured the voltage using the battery test function. All of the unused batteries in this package measured less than 8 volts under load, dropping down to less than 7 after a few seconds under test. These are supposed to put out 12 volts. No wonder my doorbell wouldn't ring.

If you buy these, test them when they arrive and be prepared to do a return. Don't wait until after the return window has elapsed. In the meantime I'm buying the more expensive brand.

I went through about 4 of them in a span of 5 months. I use it on my garage door opener it looks like I'll bite the bullet and find some other brand that works longer than a month. I'll get my dice and roll another vendor hopefully I'll get lucky seven this time.

I bought some expensive Keyco Japanese batteries to replace these because I haven't seen one negative review it was either that or duracell. Since these batteries were specifically designed for remotes I said why not. Growing up I remember good things coming from Japan including the NES system and glasses.

Old saying is true you get what you pay for.

I've purchased this five pack of batteries a few times, specifically for a remote for the ceiling fan in our family room. It doesn't get used much, and yet we have to replace the battery every couple months which seems excessive. I don't know if it's the remote or the batteries, so this time around I'm ordering the Energizer 23A 12V four pack. We'll see if we get better results (I suspect we will). I'll try to remember to update this review once we've used the Energizer batteries.

Batteries arrived quickly, in a pack as shown, tested out at 11.6 volts and produced good steady current. If one intends these for resale be aware the packages open VERY easily (if anything too easily). But since I'm a hobbyist, opening these batteries consisted of pulling on a package corner and oops... batteries all in my lap. Not difficult at all.

I hooked several of them in parallel to increase amps while retaining voltage and used them to power a home-made portable guitar amplifier. Worked fine. I didn't test to see how long they would last, but I'd estimate at least 1-2 hours by hooking 8-10 of them together. I couldn't find the amphour listing on these so can't give an accurate time estimate, but based on standard mAh this is a "best guess".

In short, on short-term tests performs well and worth the price. I can't attest as to their longevity over time as I don't use them in that capacity, but in short-term hobby projects they performed well.

A 5-pack of these batteries (which, I believe, are only good for garage door openers), is a very good deal. We have multiple garages, so we replace all of the batteries at the same time. If one only needed a single one, I am not sure if the others would stay charged long enough to still work 2 years later, or so.... not to mention that one would have to remember where the got stored!
