The boot is very snug when you get it but after a few days of wearing it it fits very comfortable.It is a very warm boot. My feet get cold very fast regardless of the rating.So far these have been the best boots for keeping my feet warm. The reason for the 3 rating is because at the calf the boot is so big I can not even tie the string tight enough to keep the snow out in deep snow. Also now that I have used the boot daily for a couple of weeks the foam has condensed to a point that it almost feels big on the heel and my heel always slides up and down.
I think they should use a foam that does not condense so much.Obviously it should have been made smaller at least by an inch or 2 at the calf. Overall until I find a better fitting boot that keeps my feet as warm as this boot I will stick with this one.Here is hoping it does not condense any further and unlike most boots here is hoping the rubber holds up for a few years.

I purchased these boots to use snowmobiling. When the weather was 14 degrees above I was worried my feet would be sweating. These boots are very warm and my feet were dry. They are worth every penny I spent on them.

I wanted these boots because I went ice fishing with insulated rubber boots and heavy socks and they just didn't cut it. My feet were cold and wet from sweating. i ended up leaving early because of it. A few of the guys I was with had these boots and swore by them so I had to get a pair. These boots are so comfortable I want to wear them every day. The lining wicks moisture away and it get trapped in the waffle type insoles. So your feet stay dry and man are they warm I've been out in minus 35 and no cold toes. I definetlt recommend these boots for anyone who likes to be outdoors in the winter.

I deliver home heating oil in the northeast this is my second pair the first pair lasted 4 winters there still fine i just thought it was time for new ones there paid for by the company i work for so why not the old ones went to my 24 yr old son and he loves them so they last.The oil never hurt the boots they take a beating kept my feet toasty and dry GREAT BOOTS.

They are snug, warm, and bulky. If you're hanging out in the arctic tundra, or just the northeast US in the winter, they are great for hunting and ice fishing. I wouldn't wear them for any long walks, but for mostly sedentary activities, they're just perfect.

Awesome boot. I work as a service tech and have to walk around houses in the winter where there is slot of snow and then have to go in the house. These boots are easy to slip on and off. They stand up so putting them on when I have my hands full is a breeze. My feet are never cold.
