I bought two of these chargers from Orion Gadgets and am very pleased.

I wanted small retractable chargers to leave plugged in in various outlets around home and the office, so I could stop walking 25 feet just to plug in my phone or other devices with a micro USB port. With the move away from proprietary chargers, it's worth it to me to buy 4 of these so I can waste less time hunting for (or packing up) my charger. I also have one non-retractable USB/wall plug adaptable charger that stays put at my desk where I charge most often.

At the end of the day, retractables aren't as durable. Tension and friction create wear and tear. I've only had these cellet chargers for a week, but these seem more likely to be more durable than other retractable chargers I've had. I also like that they retract with the push of a button rather than pull/tension approach. Way easier -- I would expect that to increase durability, too.

Be advised that the cable on these is short...possibly too short for floor or low wall outlets. I use them primarily near outlets located at counter level (bathroom, kitchen) where I didn't want to have cord clutter and didn't need a long reach, so they are perfect. Cable stretches a max of 34 inches (just less than 3 feet.) If you need this to go from floor to desk, it may or may not be ideal for your needs. It'll reach, but barely, and might exert enough cord tension to pull your phone off the desk and send it flying only the floor.

I just ordered two more (from the same seller, since it seems like some reviews had seller-based bad experiences.)

If you understand what you're buying, I think these chargers are great.

UPDATE: Got a shipping notice within 4 hours of ordering two more! Orion Gadgets rocks.

I purchased this charger to be able to throw in to my purse or suitcase easily when I'm on the go. It's perfect. Very compact & you don't have to worry about winding cords up to keep them out of the way. It works great, is easy to retract, & the price was right. I'd recommend this item & would purchase again if the need arose.

It is supposed to have an auto shut-off when the phone reaches its full charge. I plugged it in at night, and my phone showed it was charging, and then went to bed. The next morning, my phone was dead. It had lost 30% charge overnight, not charging. The next night I plug it in with this charger, and it doesn't work! Total garbage. And I bought two of them, no less! Maybe the other one will work? I'm not holding my breath.

The very first time I used the plug, the prong broke off and remained in the outlet when I attempted to unplug it. Quality is not very good, and it feels fragile.

UPDATE: Even with the broken prong, I made the charger work. After about 3 weeks, the entire assembly broke apart. Save your money.

Used 60 days and then complete short out so bad that it tripped the breaker in fuse box. I have used this product before with no problems but it appears that rating has been reduced from DC5v-11v to just DC5v and 1000 mA, but my phone requires only 5v 750mA so I did not overload the charger.

Used this device successfully for about two weeks before the prongs broke off the end that attaches to the phone. And unfortunately, I am a couple of days passed the "return" period so I am out of luck. Buyer beware! Thankfully, it was only $5.

I wanted to not believe the other reviews. I STILL want to believe the other reviews and think that if I buy another one it won't break... but alas, the other reviewers are not lying to you. The charger gets stuck in the outlet and rips apart when you try to pull it out. This is exactly what I wanted, and it's inexpensive, but it's too good to be true, because as gentle as I tried to be with it, the prongs are still lodged into the wall where I last plugged it in.
