First of all, I had what I believed to be a 2tbsp plastic spoon I used for 12 years. This thing is definitely lower volume. So either it is slightly smaller, or, my old coffee scoop was freakishly larger than I thought. I don't know.

The listed dimensions are correct--it's not too terribly big. But: It's HEAVY. I mean HEAVY. You could put this in a pillow case, and bonk someone in the head and knock them out, extra cold. It's at least twice as heavy as I expected. This worries me a little bit because my coffee is in a glass container, and one false move with this spoon and I know I'm breaking the glass.

It is so bling-tastically nickel plated, and so heavy, that every time I pick it up, I want to drill a hole in the handle and string it on to a braided platinum neck chain, Flava-Flav style, and bust out some freestyle verse.

Couldn't be happier.

This is a very pretty little coffee scoop & exactly what I have been searching for. The length is exactly perfect for my coffee canister. By the way, it actually measures 4-3/4" instead of 4-1/2". I like that the weight is heavy for such a small utensil. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a heavy, sturdy scoop. We've all seen the flimsy scoops that bend or break when you scoop coffee from a full bag or canister. This won't bend or break.

From the picture, you can see the taper of the sides (not a rounded patter or spoon mold). What you can't see is that coffee does not stick to the the sides or to the scoop.

This is the real deal.

I have purchased three different coffee scoops from Amazon: the Westwood, Elegance, and RSVP.

Westbood: WESTWOOD COFFEE SCOOP - WESTWOOD COFFEE SCOOP, NICKEL PLATED.
Elegance: Elegance Silver Coffee Scoop, Silver Plated
RSVP: RSVP Endurance Stainless Steel 2 Tablespoon Coffee Scoop.

Each scoop is different. The Westwood has the longest handle of the bunch. Next, the handle on the Elegance is the second longest, and the RSVP has the shortest handle.

Aesthetically, the Elegance is the most beautiful of them all and has the best feel to it. Even with its short handle, the Elegance is definitely a winner and I love it.

The Westwood is nice if you must have a longer handle. But I love the Elegance scoop so much to where having a longer handle is not an issue

The RSVP, well I hate that one. The handle is short, and next to the Westwood and the Elegance the RSVP feels cheesy. But if you never see nor touch the Westwood or the Elegance then you might like the feel of the RSVP as you will not have anything better to compare it to. In fairness to the RSVP, it is about 40 percent cheaper than the other two scoops so that should also be kept in mind.

Remember though, if you do not mind a short handle then the RSVP is fine and you will probably like its build quality.

This scoop which is 2tbs or 1/8 cup is very nice.
It's highly polished but heavier than I would prefer.
I keep it in my coffee can and use it exclusively to measure coffee.

Update: The weight of this scoop has become annoying....I will replace it with a lighter scoop.

I bought the Westwood coffee scoop for a 25th anniversary gift and had 25 years engraved on the handle. It was very pretty and very sturdy. It was loved by the couple that received it and I was told that they didn't want to use it because it was such a special gift. I would recommend this as a special gift. The price was right and I received it in 2 or 3 days. I will order more in the future and maybe one for myself.

I was set on replacing a plastic scoop that had broken, and I was impressed by all of the positive reviews of this one. It is everything it's cracked up to be: elegant; weighty; and small enough to reside in my coffee bean canister. It looks as if it's meant to last for life.

I just started drinking coffee seriously as I have given up sodas. I am working on type and strength of the brew. This measuring cup was exactly as described. The only issue is it is so heavy it doesn't always stay on top of the cup but I don't consider that a bad issue.
