Directions
Each E-Collar has unique "snaps" on one side of the collar. Simply place the collar snugly, but not tight enough to choke, around the pet's neck. Line up the snaps to the properly positioned holes on the opposite side of the collar and press together. To snap the E-Collar into the selected holes: 1. Start at one end of the snap. 2. Position two fingers under the snap and hole. 3. Firmly support the collar from below. 4. Push down one end of the snap. 5. Repeat procedure on the end of the snap. 6. Rotate the collar to position the snaps at the back of your pet's head. Attach the E-Collar to your pet's collar with gauze or string.

This works just fine and I recommend it over the e collars that do not have the rubber protection on both sides. I have 5 wonderful dogs (-2 Akitas, 1 Husky, 1 Dachshund, and 1 Dachshund mix). Regretfully, my one Akita and Husky had to both wear e collars at the same time (-double trouble). I ordered this collar just to have another one on standby. When it arrived, I took off the old e collar my Akita was wearing which had no rubber lining, and put this one on. It was wonderful because I no longer was constantly being scratched by the rubberless old e collar (-you know how dogs love to share their misery with you by constantly ramming their e collars into you!). Plus it was nice to have an e collar without duct tape repairs (-with 5 dogs, use your imagination for the potential of damaging things). If this helps you, please click on the yes button.

Granted, it serves it's purpose somewhat, but it needs to be...wider I guess, to where the dog isn't able to bite at their back/bottom. I got this for my dog who suffers from allergies and her back was going bald, even after taking medication. She is a medium sized dog, 47lbs. She was still able to bite at her bottom. I still use it so she can't scratch her ears off. But if you are using this to keep your dog from biting at their back or bottom, then don't get this.

This cone is just like the ones you'd see in PetSmart or Petco where the little buttons snap into the holes and the dog is in the cone of shame for however long it takes to heal. This one, I like it because it has holes that can be attached to a collar. Since my dog is in the cone long term, I have to take it off when she's outside and put it on when she's in, so I snapped the cone big enough to go over her head, then attached it to a collar that is not. When I put it on over her head, I can click the collar closed to keep the cone in place. My dog is a small (67 lbs) german shepherd and she can reach her tail in it, but nothing else.

Excellent product. My dog requires the XX size due to his long muzzle and this one prevents him from licking/biting his allergy irritated rear end. After fitting the collar to the right size using the included snaps I reinforce that area with duct tape. The collar is clear enough that the dog can see to navigate when wearing it. The plastic is durable and is sturdy. The neck area has a soft plastic material to avoid irritation. Delivery was fast. Another happy Amazon purchase.

I ordered the one with the largest range of adjustment, in order for it to fit our 60 lb labmix female. It barely fit her neck. The width was about 2 inches short and she could still lick her front leg....where a granuloma was causing trouble. I used it anyway, so maybe the annoyance prevented some of the licking while she was being "boarded" by a relative. Wish it had been wider. Will sell it to someone else or donate it to Pets Inc. local shelter.

This cone was not wide enough to keep a German Shepherd from licking wounds. Although it would fit his neck, his mouth could easily reach beyond it to get to his feet. Not well designed for large dogs.

Our Shar Peis over the years have had eye (entropion) surgery. These collars work great to keep the dogs from getting to the stitches around their eyes. The collar is easy to put on, an take off, without the LOUD noise Velcro makes. We have an old collar that is in good shape except that the snaps are broken. I called up the company Cardinal Pets 1-800-433-PETS and they sent me 8 NEW SNAPS free. I also ordered a new collar from Amazon, as the newer ones are padded on both edges. I recommend this collar.

Horrific. Pretty much impossible to attach. I even slit the openings a bit thinking that would make it easier to snapping place. It didn't. Don't waste our peony look for something with different fasteners.
