My light went on and off every 5 seconds. I checked the support website for heath zenith and found that this is caused by excess light in the area messing with the photocell. In my case, the back lights of a neighbor caused the problem. The support people sent me a free shade to put over the photocell and that fixed the problem.

I like the lamp style and how it functions now that it has the shield. Probably the shield should be included with the lamp when it is packaged.

This dusk-to-dawn motion detector light has certainly been helpful to my family.
If we leave the house before dark without leaving the porch light on,
this light comes on as soon as we pull up in our driveway and lights our way
to the front door!

My husband & I bought two of these lights, when we were doing some upgrading this fall. One for the front door, & one for the side entrance. We love how, when we drive in the driveway, the lights will come on for us. No more forgetting to leave the entrance lights on when we will be gone till after dark, coming home to the dark entrance, & fumbling around to get the door unlocked. Also, we are saving energy by having these motion lights. Love the look of them too. (I put in clear light bulbs, as I figured they would give off a brighter light.)

I really like this motion sensor patio light. I was able to easily install it myself in about a half hour, and it's working really well (only coming on and off when I walk near it at night). I bought it for some added safety when coming in from the garage at night.

I did initially have some trouble with the motion sensor constantly turning on and off if I had used the inside wall switch to activate the light, but I was able to solve the problem by resetting the light, and taping the inside light switch up, and I haven't a problem with it since.

I would have rated this product a 5 had it been presented in the Ad photo's better. The advertised photo didn't give an accurate visual representation of the product. It is smaller than I expected. I realize the dimensions were mentioned but my brain works visually. If the product could have been photographed next to a common object to provide a better size perspective that may of helped.
I really like the style and all the hardware was provided with clear instructions in the manual.
I will be looking to change the size of the light bulbs as an ordinary size energy saving bulb sticks out below the encasement. A smaller energy saving bulb will be needed, and making it a bug light will prevent bugs from getting in around the light and interior because the bottom of the encasement is not glassed. On the other hand, not having it glassed underneath makes it easier to remove or change the light bulb.

I purchased 3 of these lamps, 1 for each side of the garage door, and 1 by the rear entrance. Instructions are easy to follow. Each lamp probably took me about 20 minutes to install, and then I was able to test it. I set the motion sensor to medium because I noticed that it would turn on if it was raining hard. I'm using 100 W CFL bulbs, which illuminate quite nicely.
