What a mistake this was, I ordered it for my neighbor that takes care of my house when I am away and it was so bad that I tossed all of the fruit and went to the supermarket and refilled the basket.

The oranges were the worse, they looked like the ones a supermarket throws out for being too old, the skin had that dried out look and the two I cut open were dry. The pairs were nearly rotton, were bruised and punctured, the Kiwi had a mushy skin (it is ok for the inside to be mushy). The only reasonable piece was the Granny Smith Apple, which seemed fine but given the condition of the other fruit it went into the trash also.

For what they charged you get about 4 bucks worth of fruit and a basket. The basket was nice and that was about it and it probably tasted better than its content but I did not try it...

I could not recommend this to a friend or really to anyone.

The picture of the product shows a bounty of fruit. Lots of fruit. Fruit spilling over.
What you get is a few items of fruit. Very few. The basket is the the only true depiction.
A definite misrepresentation. Don't waste your money.

We read past comments about the practices of this company that were offset by a slew of positive reviews over the last year. I decided to take a chance and unfortunately just joined the ranks of individuals deceived by their marketing.

First - the official weight of the fruit was just over half what their advertising claims! We marked our legal scale at a hair over 6 pounds, certainly not the 10 pounds falsely advertised.

Second - the fruit selection was beyond unacceptable - small, off shape, marked, and not suitable for any type of gift presentation. We literally have 5x better quality options during the off season in the small convenience store in our small town.

The fact they could ethically try and ship this as a gift to give others - Disgusting. I cannot fathom what it would take to select the pieces that they shipped us with a smile on their face.

This is maybe $6-$8 of poorly selected small fruit - marked, scarred and small, and frankly for the most part would likely not have been selected to show at your local grocery mart. There is no bounty, it is not suitable for a gift, and using the Golden State reference to capitalize on consumer imagery of lush full fruit is just slimy.

This product looked absolutely nothing like the picture. Both in presentation and actual product. The fruit did not appear fresh and they were sparse. The basket was basically filler. I was with the receiver when this arrived and I was embrassed to have sent this to her.

The transaction was quick and it was on time, that is why I gave it two stars and not one star. The picture shows an explosion of fruit coming out of the basket. What I received was 9 pieces of fruit in the basket, it looked nothing like the picture... To quote my high expectation Asian family " Y U no buy bigger basket"
