Easy to use, gives off a good amount of light, and there are no pieces to fall off! We purchased another type of led reading light for my 5 year old (my kids share a room and don't always want the overhead light on at the same time), the other light we purchased had a battery cover that was supposed to click into place but kept falling off. We have a baby in the house and batteries falling on the floor are a big choking hazard! This light is much better, and my son LOVEs the buzz lightyear! Good purchase.

This is a great gift for a beginning reader. My daughter was even more excited to read after I gave her this light. It gives a good light. I looked at a princess light, with a princess figurine, but I thought that would break off quickly. This will stand up to a 5-year-old.

My 3 y-o loves to "read" and especially at night when we are driving and it is dark outside. We bought this as part of her Christmas gift and she was so thrilled. This Buzz Lightyear reading light was more than I expected for the price. My grandson loves it and he can take it off his headboard and shine it around his room when he wants. It is quite durable and alot more than I expected. For a cheap light, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

I purchased this light for my daughter because it has a cute character and she liked it a lot. However, the batteries lasted around 10 days, when my daughter used it to read for about an hour each night. The next set of batteries lasted 10 days as well, costing $7.
When I had to buy yet the third set, I contact the seller (Toy Supercenter) and they forwarded me to the manufacturer (light wedge), which asked me to put a different batteries (CR2016). I did that as well, but after two weeks the light doesn't work at all - not even with a new set.
The light is useless and my daughter is using a "grown up" clip on light with no characters on it.

I wouldn't recommend this product

This light is so hard to turn on and off. At first I thought it was b/c the batteries were bad, so I changed them out. It wasn't the batteries. The button mechanism for turning it on and off doesn't work well at all. It's hard for adults to get it to work. I have two other lights, almost exactly the same, from another storefront, and they work fabulously.
