We bought two sets of these for two different windows and used them with lucite-looking acrylic rods that we bought from Nationwide Plastics in Texas for much cheaper than what Lucite costs. We love the end result! We mounted the brackets from the ceiling and are very pleased with how easy they were to install and the color gold that they are (a little lighter/brighter than how they appear in the picture).

I have a window with an awkward corner that makes it impossible to hang an ordinary bracket. I used these as ceiling brackets and they worked great! The only issues were that the color didn't quite match (not the vendor or Amazon's fault, and a little spray paint took care of it), and the price was a little high for my taste. Otherwise they work well, and look nice in my loft style apartment.

For some reason I couldn't screw into the wall so I had to use a ceiling mount. My apartment has weird ceiling heights so it would be nice if they came a bit longer. Overall they were really easy to install and they look good.
