I haven't tried many scrubs to begin with so I don't know what standards I should be comparing this to, but over all it was pretty good. First the consistency, some people say it leaves a sticky film but I've encountered no such feeling. It rinses clean, with no squeaky feeling. The scent of the scrub is strange, it smells good in the tub but the way it translates to the skin is a bit odd, not a big deal though because it's not very heavily scented. So the main reason why I gave it one star down is because of the grain texture, the grains are a bit course for me, and when I rub it all over I feel like my skin is on fire, like a million little abrasions. Next time I'll remember to not scrub as hard. Of course, it did make my skin feel smoother and it didn't dry me out. A little goes a long way so the tub is pretty long lasting. For the retail price of $20 it's a bit pricey for my tastes though. But we're paying for quality organic ingredients and fair trade, so I know what I'm putting on my skin is good, so the price pays off.

I thought for sure I would love this product because I have seen so many rave reviews on amazon and other sites. Its not awful or anything but it is definitely not what I expected and I certainly do not get all the hype. First, I wanted a salt/sugar scrub. This is like lotion with scrub stuff in it, not what I would call a scrub nor does it smell like the same kind of coconuts I have smelled before. Additionally, it makes a mess in my shower. I wanted a product I could use every day in the summer but if I used this every day, I would have to clean my shower every day and ain't nobody got time for that.

Tip - if you are one of those people who love this product and have a Burkes outlet nearby - this was on the clearance aisle at my Burkes for like $3. I should buy it out and sell it to all those people who love it on amazon for $20!

I'm IN LOVE with the smell and texture! Its like spreading whipped cream on my skin!

The only down side is the feel I'm left with...and I don't know if it really is a bad feel...squeeky clean is how I'd describe it; almost too clean? It feels as if all of the moisture was wicked away from my body and replaced with a cold wax...strange description but I hope it helps!

I will most likely try to re-create the texture and scent of this product but will not purchase it again.

The Coconut Body Scrub by The Body Shop is a great body scrub! Made with Organic, virgin, cold-pressed Community Trade coconut oil, coconut milk, and Organic Community Trade babassu oil it is an extremely gentle body scrub that won't irritate or dry out your skin. I use it everytime I shower for very smooth skin.

The coconut smell is great-not over-powering at all. I wish the scent was actually stronger and lingered more on my skin.

I really enjoy using this body scrub. It has scrubbing bits of different sizes which is great for exfoliating. The base is really creamy. The main scent I get is coconut of course.There is also a nice almond scent but theres on odd base scent that I cant figure out. That is my only complaint. I will definitely be buying more.

I think this product is OK, but it is not really what I am looking for in a scrub. If you find traditional salt and sugar (and even coffee, these days) scrubs to be too harsh, this is definitely one to check out. However, if you prefer a harsher exfoliating action, this is probably not going to be what you want.

This is more like a lotion or body cream that has some exfoliating particles in it. They're not very dense. So while this does get you clean, it doesn't really get rid of dead skin or increase circulation or any of those other things that stronger scrubs will do. (If you have used any of the St. Ives Apricot scrubs, this is less dense than those.)

It smells pleasant -- not as coconutty as you might expect -- and it rinsed off cleanly and without leaving residue. You can see the full ingredients list if you scroll down the product page. Although this contains fragrance, it did not irritate my skin. Unfortunately, I don't find it very long-lasting. I probably scoop out a lot more than the average person, though, since I am looking for more exfoliating particles.

I do think this is gentle enough for daily use. I'll finish up what I bought but I will probably go looking for an alternative when I run out instead of purchasing more.

This body scrub is fabulous.It is gentle yet effective.Perfect for use with self tanners.But great for regular use to keep your skin smooth. It is not harsh and it smells great!
