Quite simply the best pen I have ever used. It puts down a fine, even line. Zero blobs, zero skips. About $6 per pen. Amazon Prime eligible.

The unusual carrot-orange body means I won't ever lend it to anyone by mistake.

Came in a beautifully tidy shipping box from FreeSpirits (vendor) in Japan, with a charming note inside.

I will now attempt to acquire a 10-year supply before you can finish reading this review.

I bought these pens because I was looking for something to use for field notes. I wanted some pens with smear-resistant ink that would be easy to spot if I dropped them. The ink is extremely smear-resistant and the bright orange pens are easy to see and retrieve if dropped. I tried out one of these pens on an Audubon Christmas Bird Count, recording my bird sightings on a Rite in the Rain Outdoor Journal Shirt Pocket 3 X 5 (and did have to write in the rain at times). The pen wrote flawlessly and my notes were not smeared at all.

When I went to Japan, I fell in love with my Uni Jetstream and looked for a replacement when my orginal was lost. This pen is perfect, nice size so it feels good in the hand. Great looking ink that looks sharp, doesn't smudge. Great feel in the flow of the pen when writing. Strongly encourage you to test this pen out, it's my favorite and might become yours too!

Nice pen, it is definitely a 0.5mm though not 0.7mm. Which I don't really mind, everything else is great and I can just slide a .7 RT refill in if I want to.

This is a fantastic pen. The rubber barrel lets me loosen my grip without the fear of dropping the pen. The orange rubber is fun because it stands out.

Speaking if standing our, the ink is a solid flow of dark black. This is the smoothest writing I've felt at this small a point.

The Jetstream is my favorite type of ballpoint pen ever since I got one for free at a conference in Japan. This one is a comfortable size to hold. I like the orange color, and the grippy rubbery material extends all the way up the pen, so unlike with some other models, there is not a separate soft grip that sags and loosens with use. I even like the clicking mechanism, which isn't too loud and feels well-constructed.The ink flows smoothly and the contrast against white paper is good. Note that the line is a bit thinner than that of most 0.7mm pens in the U.S.
