I have bad bunions on both feet, and the feet in general are starting to hurt more as I get older and require arch supports(which are over the counter also: Walk Fit). I am trying to avoid surgeries as I am very active and don't want to loose use of my foot for long periods to heal(I beat my feet up with sports: ice and roller skating). I am not convinced that bunion surgery would resolve women's foot problems since most of our shoes are 'stylish' and constructed poorly for ergonomics of the big toe anyway(always pointy). Welcome the frumpy shoe. So I bought one of these braces to see if it would be good. I have only had it on for two days and I do like it, right away. this is from someone that hasn't had any luck with OTC doo-dads before. I bought a size larger shoe that is shaped like a boat oar in front and so I can wear the splint in my shoes now. I wasn't dying in pain b4 the splint, but there is a difference to really no pain, especially when I wake up in the morning comparing it to the bunion that ddin't have the splint on in the day. with the shoes I got(at goodwill mind you) the splint actually helps support my foot and I don't need the arch supports. I can't sleep with things on my feet so I haven't tried it at night. The ad says it will make changes in the bunion in 6 weeks based on wear patterns, but I think that is a stretch of the truth. if you think about braces on one's teeth, that takes at least 18 months of continual wear to re-align the teeth and reform bone, even longer for kids that have braces on their legs or backs. So I am in it for the long haul, and will give it longer than a 6 week expectation to actually see any affect on bone alignment. Even a small change will be monumental! I will buy the second splint so I have them on both feet for most of my day.

From the wife of E. Lyons: My bunions aren't as bad as some people's are, but they were paining me on a regular basis, especially on my right foot. I was searching for something that could help not only alleviate the pain, but perhaps help stop or slow what seemed to be a process of change in my feet. After sleeping with the Bunion Aid on my right foot for only a week or so, the pain disappeared. I've also used it on my left foot as needed. At this point I wear the Bunion Aid only after wearing tight shoes, high heels or if my feet have had a heavy work-out. I know it's worked for me and I feel I may have staved off an uglier situation with my 53-year-old feet! The Bunion Aid is a great tool and I'm really glad to have discovered it.

Thanks to my mom's genes I'm punished with these ugly bumps on my feet. But at least now I can walk, run and dance again. This little device called Bunion Aid does magic to my feet. Fifty dollars well spent! I can wear it at home and at night, I can walk in it, it's comfortable and it relieves my pain.
I can finally kick off my high heels after work or going out and give my bunion pain a break!!!
