While the idea of a gel ink refill for Waterman pens is nice, this knock-off does NOT FIT all Waterman pens! I purchased these refills and planned to use them in a variety of my Waterman pens. However, these refills do NOT FIT Waterman Rhapsody ballpoint pens (including the Caviar series) and they do NOT FIT Waterman Patrician ballpoint pens. In addition, they do NOT FIT Waterman Rhapsody rollerball pens; authentic Waterman ballpoint refills do fit Waterman rollerball pens.

The problems for these refills include the diameter of EACH END of the refill and the end ridge. The diameter of each end is too large for Waterman Rhapsody ballpoint pens: the plastic end is too tight for the top of the pen and the writing end does not fit through the writing end of the pen. The writing end (nib, if you prefer) does not have the same ridge edge necessary to keep the refill in the rollerball that authentic Waterman ballpoint pens do so that the refill comes out of the rollerball end section.

The refill does fit the ballpoint that Waterman made for Crane Stationery company back in the 1990's but what a shame to be only able to use a refill for a select FEW pens!

I suggest that you purchase ONLY ONE and try the refill with your pen BEFORE you buy others. If you do not then you will be as disappointed as I am: unfortunately, I purchased ten (10) of these refills and now I can only use them with one of my pens! What a disappointment!!!

You may not enjoy reading this either: the refill is scratchy! If Monteverde made the refill to actually fit the pens and if they made a better refill -- a broad, for example -- then I might consider trying the Monteverde refill for Waterman pens again. HOWEVER, for now, these refills are off limits for me since they are a waste of money!!!

I have used the Monteverde W22 for rollerball Waterman pens with great success. When I saw a gel replacement for ballpoint, I thought -- Wonderful! Alas, major misery. The tip is just too fat to fit through my Waterman Hemisphere pen.... The refill looks the same as an OEM ballpoint refill, but the tip just won't fit.

I have a vintage (maybe 10-year-old) Waterman ballpoint for which I bought these refills. Unlike the claim that it's made "to fit Waterman ballpoint pens", this refill does not fit mine. Apparently, the circumference of the shaft at the final taper near the point is too wide for the opening in the pen, making the refills useless. Be sure to try one of these in person for your pen before buying.

I own the Waterman Green Marble set I ordered these based on description "refill to fit Waterman ball point pen" Well they don't! The tip of the refill is too large and won't protrude through the tip of the pen housing. These are worthless and I will be returning. Based on other reviews I'm not sure just what they do fit. The Shape of the refill matches the shape of mine; they are the same length if the tip was the correct diameter they might work. Save your time and order something else.

Waterman does not offer gel refills for their ballpoint pens, so this was the next best thing. It flows well and does not skip. How long it will last is yet to be seen.
