    I was looking for a fairly g-rated bee costume to go with my 8 month old's ladybug, and this was the best I could find (there were tons of "sexy bees" out there, but I'll be wearing this at our daytime baby Halloween party, so "sexy bee" isn't really what I'm going for).

    I am happy with what I got. The price was right and it is pretty cute. It's clearly cheap polyester, but doesn't look too tacky. I did cut the plastic flower off, because that part did look tacky.

    In normal clothes I am a small/xs (2-4), but I ordered a "small (6-8)" in this because I figured that when cheap polyester is involved, a little loose would be better than a little tight. It is definitely a little loose through the body, but the chest fits well, and it's super short, so it's still cute and flirty even without being so tight through the body. Like I said, it's a daytime Halloween party. If I was going out to a bar and looking to meet some guys, I would have gone with xs. By the way, since when is small a 6-8? Their sizing seems kind of strange.

    A couple other things:
    -The "capri pants" it comes with can best be described as baggy polyester biking shorts that are not at all stretchy or fitted like leggings should be. There is no way that the model in the picture is wearing what comes with the costume. I wouldn't under any circumstances plan to wear these shorts; just wear black leggings you already own and you'll be happy.

    -The black "balls" on the headband it comes with are not actually 3-dimensional balls like it looks in the picture, and like what you would expect on a bee headband. They are flat circles covered with glitter and look kind of cheap. It looks ok I guess, but I expected black puff balls.    Read more ›

    I think the model in the picture must be a petite girl barely over 5 ft tall. I am 5,9 and long waisted. Based on the other size 2 reviewers claiming the size "small" worked for them, I ordered the medium being a size 6-8. Quite honestly the small probably would have fit better in the body as the medium is very loose on me. But the length! Oh my lawd, this thing doesn't cover my rear end! It's almost like wearing a swimsuit with a ruffle! As stated, I'm long waisted, so maybe someone petite with a short waist (like the girl pictured) would fare better. As it is I am going to have to wear a slip under this as I'm not going for a super slutty look.

    I don't know why they bothered including the capri pants. They are so poorly made and very obviously not what the girl in the picture is wearing. You have to put your arms through the white elastic on the wings. White? Really? The costume is basically black so that looks really dumb. The antennae aren't great either. Not even bobbles on the ends but circles cut out of felt.

    If they missed out the pants entirely and put more attention to detail on the wings (black elastic), the head gear and added a few inches to the dress this would be perfect!

    this costume was great !!!! It fit exactly how i wanted and pictured. I didnt used the tights it come with, instead i used fish nets stocking & leg warmers. it was a hit. Everyone loved it and i received alot of compliments. i would totally recommend it.

    It arrived quick. I am llesed with the costume for the price I payed. I had to buy some leggings since the pants in the box are not good to wear. I also bought extra the hair band because I found something cuter online. Overall it is a good costume. Not a great quality, but great for the price.

    Not bad for the price. Headband is a bit lacking but could easily be improved with a little creativity and a glue gun. The leggings are a joke so just plan on wearing your own. I am 5'3' and usually wear a size 2 but took the advice of another reviewer and bought the small instead of XS as I was not going for slutty bee. The small fit great with a tank top underneath and looked cute. I used my own leggings and a pair of tall black boots. Comfy all night!

    I wasn't expecting a whole lot based on the other reviews. For the price, it's not bad. It's not great either, though. The top portion is huge on me - but mostly just the bust and through the underarms. I ordered a Medium based on the chest sizing, which should have fit well. However, I can probably take in 3" of fabric on each side. I am 5'7" and 145lbs so I was surprised this would be so big. I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine and don't feel like returning, so no big deal.

    Be prepared to chuck the "pants" and headband. They are just as sad as described in the other reviews. The wings are actually cute, but as other reviewers mentioned, why place white elastic on wings that are against a black costume? All said, it's $20 for basically a top with a skirted bottom.
