This is a very efficient heater and easy to install. Quiet and delivers adequate heat for my 2 car garage. After years of using and filling propane bottles, this is a welcome relief, only wish I'd have bought one sooner.

I installed my heater in the fall. I left the thermostat low, only turning it up when actually working in my garage. The garage is foam insulated and was actually staying at around 56 degrees F from only the heat of the pilot light. The pilot light flame is a big one. Maybe that's why prior reviews have mentioned the loudness. The heater had, maybe, about 12 hours on it when it began to malfunction. At startup (i.e. when I would turn the thermostat up), it would run about 10 minutes. The heat was good. But then a poof would be heard, a loud pulsating flame would ignite in the chamber, the infrared grid would go gray and the heater would quit putting out radiant heat. As time passed, this would occur after only a few minutes. I called the help line and left messages. They would call back and suggest things to try. I did find a totally loose nut near the pilot light. I tightened it, but it didn't help. I called back to report findings, and would have to leave a message again. Otherwise you get put on hold forever. They would call back but never would leave a message, or call again after they tried once. So I had to call them multiple times. Buyer beware, it's hard to get through a problem with them. Finally they issued a return authorization, and I sent the heater in for repair. It's been 4 weeks now, and not a word has been heard from them. I have to call again to find out what's up, where is my heater?
Conclusion: After a few more calls, a "supervisor" told me that a new unit had shipped. I've had it in use now for 3 weeks, and it is working well thus far.

Works great to heat our 2.5 car garage. Propane usage is less than I expected. Thermostat is simple and effective best part is it uses no electricity.
