After receiving this product I was rather concerned at the number of positive reviews from rabbit owners about this particular item. I would never feed this to my rabbits, or any other pet honestly. I was desperately trying to find a source for something to use to get one of my rabbits to take his medicine and decided to chance this since I could get it fast with amazon's overnight shipping. We usually use a different source for getting our papaya with no additives, which is MUCH more rabbit friendly, and thankfully my order via them came faster than expected or we'd be force-feeding again.

I WISH they had listed the ingredients on the product page for this product however, as these are NOT rabbit safe in the least for the cane sugar content alone. For future customers I am listing the ingredients as listed on the package here so that you may at least be better informed about the contents.

My veterinarian recommended that I feed one papaya treat to my chinchilla every day. I found some at Petsmart or Petco, can't remember which, that were reasonably priced and simply dried pieces of papaya. Well I was going out of town and didn't have time to run to the pet store to get more papaya for my pet-sitter to have handy, so I ordered these. Here's my problem: why would you add food coloring (especially artificial food coloring!) and EXTRA sugar to these treats? The're pets, not spoiled children! My chinchilla doesn't care what color his papaya is or how appetizing WE HUMANS think it looks, he just wants to chow down on the dang thing. And extra sugar? Chinchillas have very sensitive digestive tracts, I wonder what kind of damage long-term ingestion of this crap could cause. I see now that they've posted pictures of the ingredients list, but those pictures weren't there when I purchased these "treats." I didn't even bother returning it, just tossed it right in the trash, where it belongs.

From time to time I make up guinea pig treat bags with hay, a few little treats and these. I also mix some of these with their regular pellet food from time to time. The treat bags (plain brown paper lunch bags) keep the busy & gives them something constructive to do. It also entertains both them and me when I kinda crumple up the open part of the bag so they have to do a little 'problem solving' to figure out how to get to those yummy treats! Don't worry, both smart piggy's figure it out within 2 minutes!

These treats were an excellent price, so I figured I would see if my piggies like them. They are very picky about what they like and when introduced to their new treat they did not show much interest. After a few hours, I checked their cage and the treats were gone, so I guess they liked them well enough. These are worth a try to see if your piggies may like them!

Papaya is so good for bunnies tummies and it is so expensive to get papaya tablets. I am so happy that I found these yummy treats that are natural and inepensive. He alwaYs binkies when I shake the bag so I know he is satisfied with its taste.

I used to get these at pet stores and can no longer find them there. Great treat for rabbits every one in a while. They used to be soft like dried apples, but these are all crunchy feeling like they are stale. Won't be buying again.

I bought these for my 2 bunnies and at first they were going crazy for them. They love treats, but after 2, they didn't want anymore. Seemed like something was wrong with them. They sniffed them and wouldn't accept. TheY were eager for a treat but wouldn't take these.

Yes, no bunny liked it, and no guinea pig either, for that matter. They're just dried apples, so it was a ridiculous price as well. If your pet happens to like dried apples, head to a natural foods store, and get some there. You'll have enough money left to get yourself some too.
