I am a sophomore in high school and I have filled up 3 notebooks worth of physics all with this lead (accompanied by a GearGraph 100 (best pencil ever)), it is the best writing experiance; it is easier to erase than HB lead, it last longer, and looks nicer. If you do a lot of writing I would definitely think about buying this.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Some of the reviewers have complained that this lead is too hard to read because it's so light. It is 2H lead, which means the lead will be harder than that of the number 2 pencil you may be used to. If you are looking to buy something bold and soft, this is the wrong lead type. This lead won't break under regular use. I use it all the time for jotting down notes. This can't be used on scantrons or similar score sheets as far as I know.

I purchased 2H leads and 2B leads at the same time. H - stands for Hard. B - Stands for Black.

Based on the quality of this product, 2H Lead Refills, I had to give these lead refills 5 stars. I wish that they all came in one tube instead of three but I guess if you work at multiple locations then it could be a benefit.

Pros:
Very strong - never really break.
Lines are easily erased.
Feels like writing with a pen rather than a pencil.

Cons:
Lines are very very light. (Keep in mind this is only a con because of my preference, you may want very very light lines, in which case it would be a pro.)

I write very small and I press fairly hard, so I need lead that doesn't write too thick, too dark, or break easily. This lead is perfect. If you write lightly, don't buy hard lead and then complain that it's too light. Learn about lead softness and buy accordingly. If you don't know anything about the letters and numbers on pencil lead, check out this website: http://pencils.com/hb-graphite-grading-scale/

When I received this, one of the three containers was actually HB lead instead of 2H. The lead is very strong though, and makes nice light lines. I bought it for technical drawing, where HB lead is too soft. Make sure you realize ahead of time that this lead is not the standard that comes with most pencils and is instead harder lead intended for softer lines.
