A low-level hiss in the earphones is noticeable when they are "on" but not reproducing an acoustic signal. Expensive...yes. Worth it....absolutely. Great sound, great quality.

These are the only in-ear headphones that I have ever been able to use comfortably. It is due to their innovative earpiece design and it is worth the premium just for that. But the speakers are terrific and the noise isolation is fantastic. Even the mic is exceptional quality.

You simply can not go wrong with these.

The audio quality is very good however I have difficulty with fit in the ear. I wound up buying the oversized foam plugs. These were expnsive for 6 pieces of foam. I also find the outside sound is so totally cut off that its hard to use them when speaking on the phone.

So for practical reasons I prefer the stock Apple headset for everyday use and my on-ear Bose noise cancelling set for the concert experience.

Too bad - I dont feel like I will get my monies worth.
