I was thinking these might improve my archery skills, but they don't. I also didn't get any better at slipping through the forest. I'm not lovely, and my hair is a mess. I think it is probably because these are not real elven ears. As a last resort, I thought they might help me control my emotions and think more logically. Unfortunately, I tried it during Vulcan mating season, making it necessary for me to assault my boss, commit mutiny, and then challenge him to a death match.

Like most other reviews of this same product on other websites, I agree that these are a good product. They fit quite well (I'm an adult woman) and were very comfortable - I didn't even notice that they were on. They come with two little double-sided stickers so you can stick them to your ears but I just used spirit gum which kept them on all day.

The downside is you have to paint them since they come in a hideous, sickly pale yellowish color. It's not that hard but unless you have several tubes of tempera already, you'll have to buy those which will add to the overall price of this item. I painted them and it looked pretty close to my skin tone and stayed on. I used peach, brown, yellow and white but we already had paint.

They look really real once they're on! (As long as you have hair long enough to cover the front where it's clear to see they are a prosthetic).

This was the BEST purchase EVER! They actually suctioned on with NO ADHESIVE; I wore them for 8+ hours and they stayed put and were comfortable. They're an odd white so I painted them. I used basic cheap Ceramicoat craft paint, mixed colors in a quick attempt to match my skin (I had to go darker than expected) and used a q-tip to add some pink in the crease. It took me 5 minutes, then put them on the ends of pencils to dry. Got so many compliments and comments about how great they looked!

I purchased these elf ear tips for a Halloweeen costume (Arwen from LOtR) and when they arrived I painted them to match my skin tone. I used eyelash adhesive, as I could not find Spirit Gum in local stores, and it worked very well to keep the ears comfortably in place all night. The ears looked great! I was wearing a long dark wig, so I pulled some hair in front of where the tips met my ears and they truly looked natural. However, they could easily be blended in with some putty to look really real for shorter hairdos. They are durable, comfortable, and very much worth the small price I paid for them.

Before I purchased the product, I saw that people had complained that the ears were literally white, with very slight red shading at the peak of the tips. (The picture shows this well...compare the color of the ears to the color of the printed faces on the packaging. It's an accurate depiction of the difference between real skin and the ears.) I appreciated this, because it allowed me to paint them to match my skin tone. I taped two q-tips vertically to the edge of the table and set one ear-tip on each q-tip to allow for a hands-free painting stand. I used acrylic paint (tan and brown) and was surprised to see how realistic they looked after only one coat. The red shading at the tip actually made the solid acrylic coat look professionally shaded, adding to the realism. I loved the finished product and am saving the tips for further use! Thanks for a great and affordable product!

These ears are somewhat stiff and will fit on without any makeup or glue. They are a little difficult to get on just right on my probably small ears, but fit great on my friend's ears. I love wearing them and feel pretty awesome with them on. I do recommend as they are no fuss to put on and don't cover your ear or obstruct hearing.

These are so cute. They don't come with any way to apply them, I was in a hurry and used tape. I used them on my 9 yo for a costume. I also applied some coverup to give it a skin tone. Worked like a charm. She was the envy of everyone as she really looked like she had elf ears. Like other reviewers said you are best off using your hair to help blend them in.
