Not real Darjeeling - AVOID THIS TEA SELLER

I purchased the Darjeeling tea, expecting loose leaf tea. What I received was tea dust. It appears they cut open several teabags & dumped them in this package. It smells like cheap tea & tastes nothing like Darjeeling; only a cheap, stale, generic "tea". You can see in Amazon's product photo the large tea leaves in the window of the package, which is what loose leaf tea should look like. Now cut open a teabag & dump it in your cup; that is precisely what I received (see my photos).

While waiting for delivery, I was perusing the company's main site, hoping to buy more from them due to their good prices, but now seeing what they ship, I will peruse no more. Their prices are low for a reason; Amazon needs a "zero" rating.

Feathers Found in Tea

I purchased this tea a few days ago, and after enjoying it I decided to move some of the tea from the pouch to an airtight container. While doing so I noticed a feather floating amongst the tea leaves (I've added a picture to the product gallery). This is absolutely unacceptable. Birds are incredibly unsanitary and the entirety of the tea needs to be dumped which is an incredible waste. For this to happen I imagine they do not have the strictest sanitary practices. I own four other teas from the company and am not sure I am comfortable consuming them since I assume they are packaged in the same factory. Sticks, stems or even stones would be understandable for loose tea, but feathers? Entirely unsuitable for consumption.

Not Leaf Tea

The texture was not as expected. I would not call it "leaf" tea, as you get sand-like powder, not real leaves - great dissapointment!
I wish there was a better picture of the product. The smell and taste is good, but the tea is not very strong.
Would not recommend it to the real tea lovers. One star for the misleading description.

No flavor, no aroma

Horrible, no taste, no aroma. Must be 10 years old. A 10 year old lipton bag would have more flavor. Cannot return $14 tea.
I make loose tea every day of my life. This stuff only looks like it once was tea. Just awful.

Disappointment

Good tea at a great price

While I've certainly had better Lapsang, for the price it's hard to imagine getting anything nicer. It's a nice big bag of loose tea to fuel my teapot through periods of autumn studiousness. I recommend it for anyone who feels the need to drink Lapsang compulsively.

good flavor but disappointing contents

Flavor Name: Organic Irish Breakfast Tea PouchesSize: 4 Ounce Verified Purchase

PROS:
* Great taste of blended Irish tea
* Resealable bag
* Moderately priced for an everyday tea

CONS:
* Not at all the way I expected, i.e., not a leaf tea but a ground up tea that looks like it belongs in a sewn-up tea bag.
* Product clearly displays that it's organic and the description says it's "certified USDA and qmi organic', yet they don't display the USDA Certified logo.

Overall, I like the tea for it's taste, but the ground up almost powdery state of the tea makes me distrustful of a company that calls it "loose leaf" and doesn't use a proper USDA Certified sticker. I will not buy it again.

Mild flavor

This tea has become a nice addition to my pantry. The thing I like most about this flavor is the smell that wafts from the bag when I open it. The raspberry is distinct, but not cloyingly so. As far as the flavor, it is somewhat mild, but very tasty. I steep it for just a few minutes, so as not to let it get bitter. I usually make a second cup with the same tea leaves (it ends up having a weaker flavor, but it is still good). Perfect with a bit of stevia!
