should be better for the price, November 6, 2009
I purchased this stroller because I live in a city and walk a lot with my baby. I liked the relatively light weight of the stroller and the easy fold design. My complaint with the stroller is that is seems to be made cheaply. For example, to raise the seat so my baby can sit up, there is a cheap plastic piece like the kind that tightens the hood of a winter jacket, and this does not instill a lot of confidence. Also, there was a recall of the restraint buckles after a consumer research test consistent with my impression of the cheap plastic parts on the stroller. Knowing what I know now, I would not have purchased this stroller, but now that I have it, it is OK for travel (it's just more that I would have wanted to spend for a stroller that I hardly use). Otherwise, I use my larger mountain buggy (urban single) stroller for everything, and that stroller is great.

Love our City Mini, even in the mud!, October 29, 2009
I agree that the stroller is meant for more even terrain like paved roads and sidewalks (as previous reviewers have mentioned) but I feel that I must add that we recently went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival after it had rained for 2 days. The ground was covered in mud and everyone else who brought regular 4-wheeled strollers were seriously struggling. In absolutely icky ground conditions, going uphill and all around the festival, the city mini did GREAT with a 6 month old in it. Maybe I have extra upper arm strength or something, but I was able to push the stroller around one handed pretty easily on the less muddy roads. I do know that there are other strollers that probably would have done *better* but the City Mini exceeded my expectations that day. I am just impressed with it, and happy that we bought it.
The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because we have not used it on our own baby yet, as I am 5 months pregnant and our little one hasn't arrived yet. We brought it to the festival for a friend who has a baby because her stroller would not have made it through all the mud. I have also used it for the babies I sit for recently and it has been awesome around town.

Great Stroller!, December 23, 2009
I researched strollers FOREVER before registering for one. I wanted one that wasn't as bulky as the travel systems we looked at, is easy to fold and is easy to maneuver. This stroller is all that--although I have to say it is bulkier than I expected it to be, but still not so much as some of my friend's strollers are. We got this as a gift including the car seat adapter, parent console and the child tray--but it sucks that you have to buy all that separately--I understand not everyone would need the car seat adapter, but I feel that the parent console and the child tray should be included. I take this shopping all the time because, even though the rear wheels are kind of wide and get stuck sometimes, it is easy to whip around in tight spaces and those wide set wheels don't get stuck anymore often than the ones on my Graco Snugrider do(which I also love). When I take my baby on walks and it's raining (and we live in Seattle so it's usually raining) the canopy comes down so far that we don't even need a rain cover. My only complaint about the canopy is that with the car seat on it, the two canopies don't line up to protect the baby as much as I'd like--but then the car seat and the stroller are two different brands so I can't expect it to be perfect. The fold is awesome, people are fascinated when they watch how easy it is! My daughter is only 10 weeks old so I can't say how durable this is, but it's rated up to 50 lbs, so I hope it lasts.
