This product, Zymaderm, had an immediate effect on the reduction in severity of the Molluscum Contagiosum (MC) bumps on my 3 year old son. It was a saving grace for us. He had about 25 very ugly bumps with the white core on his face and elsewhere by the time we figured out what he had. The doctors said to leave it alone, it would go away on it's own, but it kept getting worse. It's horrible to look at when it's really bad. I found out about Zymaderm on a message board; thank goodness we tried it. We could see a huge difference after only one application. It seems to dry up the bumps and suck the life right out of them. Best of all, it is painless. After about 2 weeks of one application per day at bedtime, the bumps were almost completely gone. A couple of the oldest bumps were more resistant. The MC is a virus and can last years. My son has had it for about 4 months now, and we've been using the same bottle of Zymaderm for about 2 months. We still have half a bottle, as you use very little at a time. I inspect his entire body nightly after his bath for new bumps. If you treat the bumps regularly when they first appear, when they are visible as teeny, tiny pimple-like bumps, they don't seem to develop into the big white things, and are barely noticable. Other tips that helped stop the spread: a)no baths, only showers, and fresh towels each night. When the white head seems ready to erupt, a good long shower will soften the skin and the white core can be swiped out gently with a towel but be sure not to use that towel to dry the unaffected parts of the body or it will spread. b)treat with Zymaderm after the core comes out and bandage the bump for 24 hours until it heals up a bit, to prevent infection.Read more ›

The top review says to rub with a towel. This is the perfect way to spread the molluscum! I'm giving Zymaderm 4 stars. I have gotten rid of the molluscum on my child but it was not fast or easy. I used Zymaderm twice a day for two months with really no improvement, it did seem to slow down the growth of the pox, but wasn't getting rid of them. I called the company and they sent me the Phase II Zymaderm Soap for free. The tell you in the letter they send you about this soap if the Zymaderm Phase I is not working. I wish I would have called sooner, because this did the trick, but I also had to improvise to get this nasty virus off my son. What worked quickly and effectively for me after playing around with this for months was to use a dab of the Zymaderm Phase II soap on the end of a Q-tip and rub it around for 20 seconds, then I would wipe off the soap with the other end of the Q-tip that I had dipped in water. Pat dry with a clean tissue and then apply the drops of Zymaderm Phase I. This worked in a matter of a few days. The pox would start to get a little red and irritated and then would start to dry up a little and look like a pimple that was ready to be popped - like a big irritated white head. When it got to this stage I would take a pair of in-grown hair tweezers. They look like regular tweezers but with a needle sharp tip that allows you to dig under the skin to pull out in-grown hairs or splinters. There is a yellowish white core inside the pox that needs to come out, but very carefully! If you wipe it with a towel it is very hard not to spread it around. You need to pull this waxy ball out of the center of the molluscum just like an in-grown hair without letting it come into contact with surrounding skin.Read more ›

My two daughters were fighting with small outbreaks of Molluscum Contagiosum and every two weeks we were making trips to the dermatologist for treatments. With our insurance we were paying $15/child each visit. That's a total of $60/month. After 3 months of treatments we were seeing little results. The larger molluscum needed 2-3 treatments before any results were seen and it seemed as if everytime they were treated at the dermatologist 3-4 new molluscum bumps would appear. It was a never-ending and expensive cycyle. It was also becoming more and more stressful for my 3-year old because she hated to take her shirt off at the dermatologist office.

I was getting close to my witt's end. Especially when I noticed a new molluscum bump on my 5-year old daughter near her gentitals and two new bumps on my 3-year olds neck and chin. It felt as if we were fighting this VERY expensive fight with no armor and I felt helpless as if my only option was the dermatologist.

In desperation I searched the internet and came upon ZymaDerm. After reading the reviews and knowing that I could return the product if it didn't work were sellers for me. The next day I went to my local Walgreens and purchased ZymaDerm for $24.99. We have been faithfully applying the product twice a day (morning and bedtime). The results are AMAZING! It has been less than two weeks and both of my daughters molluscum are either gone or 90% gone. And the best part - it's painless. They get no painful blisters like what happens when they would be treated at the dermatologist office and I can do it in the comfort of our home with no stress.

Also, the information in the packet of ZymaDerm gave me more infortmation than our dermatolgist office.Read more ›
