Great for pranayama, but substitutes for full-size bolster just as well for most purposes. Hugger Mugger products are of very high quality.

Quality fabric and construction. Compared to the standard size bolster it is about 5 inches shorter, a little rounder, not as wide and a little firmer. I don't think it replaces the standard bolster. Just my personal comfort taste and not based on yoga expertise, I'm a beginner.
