One huge difference between this one and the larger size is the bottle top, I do NOT like this top at all, the cap on the 6 ounce gets in the way, the ONE ounce works great
My original review for the 1 ounce:

I have used this on polymer clay about 15 times now to test it out, with mixed results, however that was MY fault, not the products.

What works and works wonderfully: Plain polymer clay, baked. Add it to a cool piece of baked clay in direct sunlight and you have a wonderful piece of art! A few words though, premo clay will make it bead up more then say regular sculptey so you'll have to move it to the edge of the piece with a toothpick and then add a second coat or two until it is thicker and pushes itself toward the edges.

Filling a bezel: It works wonderfully. So far all I have done is polymer clay pendants and filling 2 inch pendant bezels. I place a handmade polymer clay tile, thinner in depth then the bezel, and then fill the rest with resin. You have to apply it in at least two layers though, yes it will pull away from the edges unless you apply just enough of it on the second application to "Dome" the top of the piece.

What does not work at all so far: Applying it to varnished or otherwise treated pieces. The resin turns to goo and STAYS as goo. It reacts badly to most finishes, so use this mainly on unfinished materials. Also I have killed several pieces by being distracted and not checking on them for air bubbles. Raw clays and anything with a plasticized or coated surface probably wouldn't cure either.

The price is absolutely prohibative for many, I couldn't afford to buy this every week, so I recommend you buy the small bottle and play around with it for awhile before investing in more.

I originally found this product at a craft store in a 1 oz pkg for $10. I already own several lights (I do gel nails in a salon) so all I needed was the resin. I have used other types of air dry resins with mixed results. I also hate to wait for them to dry so I can turn my creations into jewelry. This seemed like the perfect solution. With a little practice they come out perfect every time and within about 30 min I can make a new creation that I sell on my website. The price is exceptional and the package arrived in perfect condition.

This stuff is great for people who want ease of use and instant gratification. There is no messy mixing, almost no smell, it domes very nicely, and it cures under an incondescent black light in a matter of hours instead of days. Air bubbles are simple to pop with a needle, and it has a nice shiny finish. The one and only drawback is that it does yellow slightly once it is cured.
Thie large bottle is not easy to pour with, so I just use it to refill my smaller 1 oz bottle.

Just a money saving tip: There is really no need to buy an expensive lamp. I bought an energy efficient ge black light bulb (which you can find for under $10) and use it in a small gooseneck desk lamp (that you can find for around $5). Works wonders.

I actually bought this product over others because many MANY reviews here, elsewhere, etc said that this stuff "rarely bubbles." That's a load of crock. This stuff seems to always bubble and because of the intense drying time, it pulls and separates that microscopic bubble into a monster of an inclusion. I've gone through an entire bottle of this stuff on a mere 12 products because of this and I just want to cry.

Something else that I've noticed is that the hardness of the product final product seems to go down the closer you get to the bottom of the bottle. Because of the bubble problem above, I've had to pry the resin off of my trays over and over again. The first few times, the sheets I pulled were like solid plastic L.ater sheets, not so much as they bend and flex (even rip). This indicates to me that the chemicals in the bottle are separating in storage and there's practically nothing I can do about it because mixing the stuff CREATES MORE BUBBLES!

The 2 stars that I am giving the stuff is because it does deliver on what it advertises. It's waterproof once it sets, It's crystal clear and beautiful the whole time, and it sets ridiculously fast - which isn't as great as it seems. I would rather have something that takes longer to set, thus causing less of a pull on the glaze, thus creating less devastatingly huge inclusions.

Only wish it came in larger sizes. Crystal clear resin, hard as can be, dries wonderfully quickly in sunshine. Make sure you put your cap on tight when not in use and store in the dark.

Using a product that is so easy to use and produces fantastic results makes crafting more exciting. I happen to have an old UV nail light that I use with the product, and even though the light is old the Magic Gloss cures in 7 to 10 minutes with no air bubbles or fumes - producing a beautiful crystal clear top for my clay beads. I have just started using the product and love it. A must to have in your artist's tool box.

I finally took the plunge and ordered the big bottle. I have always used the smaller version, but since my local Michaels stopped carrying Lisa P.'s line, I have no choice. I have been using her product for a few years now, but have never tried to make a cachabon with it. I always use it in my glass works. I have tried with polymer clay, but I always run into it pulling away from the edge.

I am always trying new things with this product, because it's a UV resin and I don't have to worry about mixing or waiting for hours for it to cure.

I did try making something that was a deep mold and it didn't work out to well, but I am sure if I gave it more time, it may have been successful or using true UV light from the sun, may have been more effective, But this is not a fault of the product, it's all user error.

I have tried different UV brands and Lisa's wins hands down. It's not as smelly, it has very little to no shrinkage and if you are using it to dome, it cures to a nice solid finish. Others cure in less than a minute and leave a ripple texture on the dome.
