I had a Sta Rite Dura Glas Pump. And the original pump housing was cracked and leaking where the fittings go in. I patched it a few times with 2 part epoxy. But the crack and leak got bigger over the years. So I broke down and bought this housing. What a good move, because it is so nice not to have water squirting everywhere. When you buy this pump housing, make sure you also buy one of the "Go Kits" (that has all the gaskets, o-rings, and pump seal). or the individual gaskets and o-rings. Because when you take apart your old pump, the gaskets and o-rings will tear apart due to age. I also replace the pump seal. So, with the new pump housing and go-kit, I basically have a rebuilt like-new pump at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire pump and motor.

Pentair make fixable equipment. Instead of spending 400-500$ on a new pump I just replaced the tank body and no leaks! Perfect. This item was shipped quickly, less expensive then the local pool store, fit perfectly and above all fixed a leak!

The part is exactly what I needed. I was disappointed that it took 4 business days to ship. I tried to save money by ordering from Amazon, but the other parts I ordered at the same time from a different on-line dealer arrived 3 days earlier. When it arrived the box was open on the top and bottom from being too shallow for the part. Luckily it is a heavy duty part and was not damaged.

The part I was replacing split open along the clamp.
All the pool part stores wanted $100 to $140 and had to order it. it would take 2 to 5 days.
I did not want to pay extra so I chose the cheap shipping method from Amazon (up to 8 days)
I tried to patch the split myself so I could run the pump while I was waiting. I tried fiberglass, epoxy and duct tape..
DO NOT TRY THIS. it lasted for 30 seconds before it broke again.
luckily the part arrived in 2 days and it just works as designed.
