I bought this item and to my amazment there was no CR-Rom in the box, it turns out that McAfee is selling the idea that you buy a card and then you go to there web sight you entren the number on the card and then download the software, and they keep the software you don't have a hard copy of the sofeware on CD-Rom for encase say for example your hard drive crashes and you need to re-install the anti-virus software, or you upgrade your O/S software and if you have a slow Iethernet have fun downloading it. Then it doesn't even tell you how many times you can use that card before you can't, and, no ware on the box does it say NO CD-ROM, as I said if you like feeling that you can use the card in the box once then it is fee city, them buy all means buy this product enjoy.

The software was easy to load onto my Sony Vaio netbook, as I could not use a CD. No problems getting rid of the previously loaded anti virus software.
No problems with the day to day use.
I recommend this product.
