This was very easy to install I used a 10mm on the actual unit (12mm on another bolt above the left nut.) On a 93 civic, it fixed the speed-o-meter problem I was having, the gauge was jumping. Took about 10 minutes to install. I also attempted to clean the area out as best as possible; added some electric connecter grease too. So far so good.

This sensor looked great and worked fine--for exactly 5 months--then stopped working completely!
Got a check engine light and speedometer never budged again...dead as a door nail .
Bought genuine Honda sensor for about 8 times the price of this one. If it lasts 8 times as long I figure it will be well worth the price....Sure don't want to be replacing this critter every 5 months, what with the down time and busted knuckles from working in such a tight location.
On the plus side this item did diagnose my problem as being the sensor, and not the cluster, etc.--which would have been a lot worse. I guess it was worth it just to find out what was really wrong...would really hate to have to spend $150.00 just to find out the sensor was NOT the problem!

so i thought it was pretty funny that this is just a little sensor that spins in a circle and gets read by a little circuit. are all things inside of cars this simple? i doubt it. so it worked, it told me the speed, i sold that car, and now it tells someone else the speed. it's still working LIKE 5 YEARS LATER. talk about quality. this thing's crazy with quality

This sensor has been the best darn thing I have ever purchased from Amazon. My 97' Honda Accord's speedometer was out for at least 5 months and I was having issues with the car jumping into gear, as well as the once in a while Drive light blinking. I was going to purchase one from Honda....Whoa! they ask a ridiculous price. Just so happened to be on Amazon and I found this. Took about a week to get it. Husband took about 30 minutes to put it on....Voila, speedometer is back and no more weird shifting issues. Wish I woulda bought this a lot sooner.
It's been on since Nov. 2013, So far so good!

Part fit and was complete. Noticed that the speedo jumped a few times when cold (-10 f) so not sure how long this solves my problem...but i guess i expected that possiblility when i looked at the price compared to Honda and parts store pricing.

Bought this in hopes that it would solve my speedometer problems. Unfortunately my speedometer has other problems. This product appears to work fine. The product does look cheep compared to the actual Honda part. This part is cast, not milled like the original. I guess you get what you pay for.

Package came within less than a week and it works perfectly fine on my Honda Accord 1997 SE. I've been using the GPS speedometer for months. My brother and I installed it and neither of us are professionally trained in car mechanics, we just Google and YouTube. I wish I knew sooner that it was so easy to fix; with the proper tools: 10mm socket wrench + extension. Now my car accelerates smoothly and I know how fast I'm going. Awesome.

Speedometer started acting funny jumping around and/or going to zero about half the time. A few weeks later at around 40-45mph it would do this and then I would feel a "hesitation" while driving. Took it to my local honda dealer. Long story short, they could not diagnose the issue or even duplicate it. I have been driving this 93 civic since it came off their lot 22 years ago. I did my own research and found that this little guy is known to go bad and can easily cause this sort of problem. It took me ten minutes to install and BAM!speedometer work sand no shifting problems at all anymore. If you want to make sure this is the problem just unplug it and take it for a test drive. I did and, other than no speedo reading or odometer working, everything else ran fine so i knew it was causing the weird shifting issue.
