I was just about to purchase this, but thought I would check the pricing on the HP website first. I'm glad I did! This amazon deal comes to just shy of a dollar MORE than you would pay if you bought the 5 cartridges separately on the HP site. Of course, I'm not quibbling over a dollar - just the idea that you are getting such a great deal here. You are not. And if you buy from HP, you will have their packaging and their guarantee, and usually free next business day shipping. I love amazon, don't get me wrong, but it is quite important to do your homework before assuming it's a real "deal"!

These XL cartridges are a great value. Twice as much ink for a little more money than standard. Don't be fooled by the fact that these cartidges come without all the cardboard packaging. They are the real deal. Quick shipment and the order arrived quicker than expected. I will do business here again!

Ink cartridges were as listed. Although they did not come in factory cardboard boxes, they appeared to be factory fresh and had the HP seals intact. I thought this was a bargain compared to local sources in the Milwaukee Metro Area.

The package deal is great. Cheaper than others seen here in Amazon. Mine came in the original packaging from HP. My only complaint is the black cartrige. The box says XL and so does the cartrige, but the cartrige itself is NOT XL. I have purchased XL's before and the black one is wider than the regular cartrige. Outside of that, getting the whole set was a good value. Will definitely buy here again.

The HP 564XL Ink Cartridges are perfectly made and produce perfect prints. The lack of excess paper packaging is actually a benefit; less use of raw materials and takes up less space. Although the XL cartridges are a much better buy than the standard size (does anyone buy them?) the yield is a bit less than listed by HP (approximately 10% less). If printing photos at separate times, the yield drops substantially as one would expect due to the loss when starting a new printing session. In general, a quality series of cartridges.

This ink is actually great, but every time I have to purchase it, I do so through gritted teeth. It's so damned expensive. Can anyone really tell me that these cartridges could not be re-used and help to save the environment and that they couldn't be cheaply refilled? I doubt it. It's price gouging, pure and simple.
Still, they are excellent quality inks and that's why they get a star, but HP, if people are angry every time they have to pay you for new ink, is that a great way to do business? I don't think so.
