I wish there were more than 5 stars! This kit is AMAZING. It is heavy, well crafted, and works like a dream. We get foxtails in our dogs ears several times a year. Vet charges for one visit are well above the price paid for this kit, not to mention the discomfort they are in during the 1.5 hour trip and awaiting their appointment. If I need any more medical equipment, I will go back to this company for sure.

This is so great! I spend so much money on foxtail removal for my dogs because we live in the foothills and they enjoy running around so they get burrs and foxtails (wicked weeds!) I will always take them to the vet if it is too far down the ear to safely remove but this is a great way to determine if it is something I can do for my dogs. I also bought the eyeglass magnifiers that you wear. That really helps to see what is going on and leaves my hands free to hold my dog's ear flap.

I will start by saying this product is great for removing foxtails from the ears and checking up your pets nose. I've used it several times on my yorkie, his hair matches the color of the fox tail which can make it difficult to see but I found the light suitable to do the job. Even if you do not feel comfortable with removing the foxtail or object, at least if you can see it you can confirm that you need to get it removed from a vet and not waste the money at the vet if there is in fact nothing in there ( I speak from experience because my yorkie my to cry sometime like hes in pain and he'll mimic head movement like he has something in his ear and I take him to the Vet and alas nothing). So great buy!

Cons to the product are few in my opinion.
1: the metal scope tip (which is my favorite) doesn't lock on very well
2: the forceps do not pass threw the longer scopes (so buying a longer one would be a nice buy also)
3: not a big deal but the storage case isn't that great and you should remove the batteries after use but there is no where in the case to store them.

All in all the Pros out way the cons. I know that my vet visits are pricy and I have all the ear drops from previous visits and this set has saved me at least $600.

These are some average quality Otoscopes, These are not of the quality $99.00 would bring. With the only quality part being the forceps. Had these been sold for $50.00 it would have gotten a 5 star as the Quality would have matched the Price.

I have used this to look in side my dogs ears and also my wife's and it works great.

My one complaint is that it uses two D batteries. This has an LED, you could power it with two AAAs and have the whole thing be a lot lighter.
