I needed a shoe rack to keep my various exercise shoes in one place and off the floor. I have zumba shoes, step aerobic shoes, cycling shoes, running shoes, cross training shoes and tap shoes so this worked perfectly. It is not rocket science to put it together but I did have to have help to originally push the ends into the bars but once together it stays. Plenty of room between shoes which I also liked. Good price!

Not sure what everyone else is complaining about. It literally took me two minutes to put this shoe rack together. I put 9 pairs of heels on this rack (I wear a 7.5 women). They all fit perfectly, and the rack seems sturdy enough. I specifically bought it for my heels as they slip through my other shelved shoe rack. The floor of my closet looks so much better now that all my shoes are organized and not all over the place. Great buy for $10.

To be fair, it will stay in place and hold your shoes if you mainly want then to collect dust. It will not hold NINE men's shoes, and I even tried alternating the direction of the bends to make more room. you can get MAX 12 or 14 shoes - not 18 -- on here, all smashed together and twisted, and unhappy. If you have tiny, petite shoes -- such as if, you are a known as a child -- this would work.

I'm returning mine, all bent and twisted. It for sure did not work as advertised.

Update 5/29/2013 - I've now had this product for a few months and its starting to fall apart. Almost all the holders and the legs are now buckling and Gorilla glue is no longer fixing the issue. The product still works as a shoe holder, just a little frustrating that it can't hold itself together. Edited from 3-stars to 2-stars.

For the cost, I'd say this is a 4 or 5 star but I've had to make one modification to keep the front holder upright. I've had the rack for about a month now and I had to use Gorilla glue fixed hold it in place. The assembly took a whole 30 seconds once I got all the pieces out of the box, very easy. Then I started putting shoes on it, not sure if this was meant for men's shoes but it would be a little tight if I filled up the rack. Don't get me wrong they would all fit, but it may be a little tight getting the shoes in and out. This was perfect for the space I had and the cost was minimal so I'm good with this purchase.

I didn't expect amazing quality from a $10 shoerack, but I certainly expected something I could use. It took about 30 seconds to put together, and less than 10 seconds to fall apart. As soon as I put a single pair of shoes on it, it started coming apart. I moved it inside of my closet, and it fell apart again. It says it will take 9 pairs of shoes, but they must mean size 4 ballerina shoes or something, because I put one pair of size 11 sneakers on it, and I couldn't put another pair of shoes beside or behind it.
I fought with it coming apart and not fitting shoes on it for all of 5 minutes until I tore it apart and threw it in the dumpster. Save yourself the headache and spend a few more bucks for something that you can actually use... or simply do like I am currently doing, and embrace the pile of shoes on the floor in your closet... it makes for fun mornings when you are running late!

This shoe rack is sturdy enough but make sure the shoe rack portion is inserted completely into the end braces. It is also attractively priced. However, it is not wide enough to store six men's shoes in a single row. It needs to be wider.

I needed someplace to put my immense shoe collection. I had another rack one, but my shoes are little and they kept falling through the two bars. This works well, and looks as nice as you'd expect a wire shoe rack to look. I didn't have a problem with having to pull it away from the wall like another customer complained about, but my walls have a crown moulding at the bottom, so that might be why. I like these, and don't have any complaints.

The shoe rack works fine if you are storing shoes long term. But each time I take shoes off the rack, the rack falls apart. It seems the wire connections won't stay connected. I think in order to keep it together, I will have to take the sides together. It looks nice, but it is just too flimsy for my needs.
