I KNOW what Prevail Underpads are USUALLY used for. However, my daughter uses them in an entirely different way.
My daughter lives in an apartment on her own with her dog. She uses a power chair, so it is difficult for her to "walk" her dog regularly, especially when it rains or when the yard outside is wet or muddy. HOWEVER, her dog is PAD-TRAINED!
She strategically places several pads around the house--several in her study; one in her bedroom--and her dog both urinates and defecates on them.....and NOT the carpet! Each day, she merely folds up the used pads and discards them!
Price comparison on Amazon makes it possible to buy these pads and to use them this way economically!

These "disposable underpads," in the medical field they're called chux. These are LARGE, and there are 100 of them, for this price, that's GREAT!! My son has incontinent episodes at night, and even with a "pull-up," on, it still manages to get on his sheet/mattress whatever is under him. These do wonders for that, they absorb a LOT. Like the title says, great value, great product!

We have a disabled 200 lb adult in the family, and these have made a tremendous difference to us. We make the bed with 3 of them, 2 lined side by side overlapping on top of the mattress pad and under the lower sheet. We then put a third one strategically placed on top of the lower sheet and put a top sheet over it. There are times when we use 2 pads in the upper layer. At first I was using four because I was concerned that the ensemble would shift at night, but it does not. If we have to get up in the night, first we take off the upper layer, then if a second time up, take off the lower layer and re-make the bed. Much easier. We rarely wash a mattress pad now. Highly recommend them.

I do not like the pee pads marketed for pets...they are thin and wimpy. These are VERY well priced, and arrived the day after I ordered. They're absorbent, and work very well for my dog. My only complaint is that they're packaged in 4 packs of 25- a bit bulky- but the product is great :)

These underpads are very absorbent and the cost for such large pads, that are are also absorbent enough for a large bedridden adult is wonderful. I was paying $20 for 30 pads in the stores. Here you pay $5 more dollars and get 70 more pads and believe me you will need them if your situation is anything like mine!

I've tried other underpads but these ones really do the job! These make my job as a caregiver much easier. Other pads don't absorb as well as these. In fact, my husband's catheter often comes off in the night and I would wake up to find his linens soaked (poor guy!). These puppies really do an excellent job keeping him and his bed clean and dry. I highly recommend them!!
