I am 63 with essentially "good" skin that I inherited, and I'm told it looks some 15 yrs younger than my chronological age. That said, I still have to take consistent care with exfoliation and serums to keep it moisturized and clear. My skin is combination - not excessively dry, though drier in the winter, of course -- but I've found that I can use it year round. This balm, which I discovered through a Lisa Eldridge beauty video (YouTube) on makeup for mature skin, has become my standard daily product for moisture with the perfect tint (I am medium) and coverage. I use it over a vitamin C serum and a layer of Olay Regenerist. It's the perfect weight an coverage, and I no longer use foundation during the day. It gives me an illuminated, dewy finish and I've never found another product to rival it. It's expensive (though I've found it for around $60) but it really lasts. Would highly recommend this product.

This is a wonderful product. It's a tinted moisturizer, so you get a fresh, natural kind of coverage + SFP of 25, an added bonus. I didn't want a full coverage foundation and this does the trick for my dry skin as well. It's perfect for a natural daytime look, or for mature skin when you don't want to look too made up. At first, I ordered the Medium shade, but that ran a bit dark, so I had to switch to the Light-to-Medium, which is perfect. It's hydrating, very creamy and its from Bobbi Brown, so you can't go wrong. If you desire slightly more coverage, you can go with the tinted Bobbi Brown BB Cream, or a foundation.

I use this as a moisturizer with SPF either alone with powder or add foundation for more coverage, depending on the demands of the day. The alabaster is lighter than I need , but will go ahead and use and then when it comes time to repurchase, I will go with the next darker shade. I am very fair with freckles and dark brown hair and depending on the time of year I run from light tan to pale as a ghost. Makes it hard to decide what tint will work. There is some smell, but it vanishes quickly and I don't consider it obnoxious. My skin is generally not too sensitive to ingredients so I really can't speak to issues like that. It's main strength for me is that at the end of the day, my skin looks as good as at the beginning. A lot of the tinted moisturizers I've tried (Paula's choice, the balm, Dior, Boots#7) emphasized the lines or settled into the lines by the end of the day.making me look older. This does not. I still look fresh.

A friend had recommended this tinted moisturizer versus a foundation when I mentioned that I was looking for a smoother, dewy look for foundations. I took a chance and tried this - it's great! it has enough coverage to gently reduce the appearance of my freckles as well as give my face a more balanced color. Plus, it's a moisturizer with sunscreen. Great product that I have reordered several times!

I really liked this product a lot - however, there is something in the product that made my eyes water a bit. (A little bit like camphor) If I just used it on my cheeks and forehead and keep it away from around the eyes, it is okay.

I really had high hopes for this product and wanted to like it. I'm a big fan of BB Cosmetics and also of make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, where I first saw this product. I'm fortunate to have very good skin that requires little make-up and am in my early 60's. For me. this product basically works as a moisturizer and nothing more. In fact, I put it on just one side of my face and left the other side bare. The only difference was the sheen of this product on the side of my face where it had been applied. There was virtually no coverage at all. In reapplying, I found that this product isn't build able , either. So, I use this as a moisturizer on days my face feels particularly dry but must follow with a dusting of loose powder, to combat the excessive shine, and provide a little coverage if I need any. Too expensive for this use so will finish the jar and not purchase again. I'd recommend this product for those with very dry and/or wrinkled skin that need more moisture than coverage.

I really like this product. I used it for the first time this AM. It went on very smoothly and blended in well. There were no streaks or blobs of make-up visible. It's not a foundation so don't expect perfect coverage. It's just a bit of color. I purchased the Light-Medium and found the color was just right. I'm usually disappointed by make-up but this is the real thing. A bit pricey but I've paid more for other products and been less satisfied.

I love this tinted moisturizing balm. I keep coming back to it but I DO find that it is slightly too moisturizing for my face and I actually tend to have dry skin. I have to use a translucent powder or light powder to absorb some of the shine. That said, it wears beautifully and I often receive compliments on my radiant skin (which is not that radiant sans makeup).
