I'm an active Grandpa, retired soldier, and I'd never found quite the right soap until I tried GRANDPA'S. The pine tar scent is strongest in the shower and I like how a trace of it stays with you a while afterwards. I believe Grandpa's has ingredients that help fight dandruff as I no longer need dandruff shampoo. I use it for overall body maintenance to include shaving and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't need perfumed, oily cleansing. Although the box states it lathers white, in the shower tub it is light brown. Go figure. The only thing I can think of that may drift into the negative category is the price but as my Dad said, "You get what you pay for". I've used Grandpa's Wonder Pine Tar Soap for about two years now and it is a great Man's soap.

This has a unique scent, I would call it "burnt campfire wood" smell.
I would never match this up with ladies of femmy-boys, it's a mans soap.
DVDA should add a line in their song about this soap!

I have been using Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for 40 years. It lathers good and I feel clean. I used to be able to find it in country stores but it is getting harder to find. Without this Amazon supplier I would have to drive 125 miles to Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati.
