This is the only home perm that actually curls my hair. I used them years ago. I recently moved across country, leaving behind my hairdresser of twelve years, who did a great job. Since the move, I have had three bad professional salon perms that burned and/or failed to curl my hair, as well an unsuccessful home one. I have now gone back to Ogilvie home perms and am completely satisfied. When I wore my hair shorter, I wrapped my perms myself, and still had great perms with Ogilvie.

I one of those old-fashioned women who still like to get a home permanent. I can get the perm in the comfort of my own home and take my time with rolling, etc. I just used one of these perms the other day, and it turned out beautifully for a fraction of the cost of a salon perm. Works for me, as I need to take heavy prescription drugs and perms don't last as long as they normally would. I would encourage you to try these perms if you have not. Love it. Thank you.

I have ordered the Ogilvie Home Perms for my wife for years. Our daughter who gives the perms to her mother has complained that the conditioner has solid granules in it and the perms don't work as well as they used to. She called Ogilvie to ask about it and was informed that, according to the lot number, the product that was delivered to us was manufactured before 2006 (we purchased it in August of 2012). Not surprising that the stuff was defective. Very disappointing from Amazon. We will try once again to find it in local stores.

I have purchased Ogilvie perms for many years and have had success with them. They were, however, a different type, and labeled "hard to curl" , or "regular", and the one I now have is listed as "extra body", so I hope it works as well as the others I have used before. I have no reason to believe it won't, but time will tell.

I will definitely give the seller 5 stars for keeping me well informed as to the shipping dates and when to expect the delivery, and would not hesitate to order from them again in the future.
