I was out craft shopping one day and saw these on sale. Naturally, as red is my favorite color, I decided a new pair of scissors couldn't hurt, especially with a discount, and so I purchased them. This is one impulse buy I am actually proud of! These are the best scissors I've used in my life, no exaggeration. The blades are sharp enough to cut paper in one stroke, but on foreign materials (i.e curious kids' fingers?) it doesn't really bite down hard unless of course the child is squeezing the scissors down on their fingers, in which case keep your scissors AWAY from your children (and pets.) The handle is large enough to fit four of my fingers in the large slot. My hands are about average adult woman's size, nothing too small. These scissors don't rust, don't bend, and are still sturdy and working. They are extremely durable and I would recommend these to anyone. I may not have been "scissor-shopping" that day, but I sure did find the brand I will stick with most likely for life.

I bought these scissors (the 8" version) at my grocery store for less than $2, and they really are not even worth that.

These scissors don't open and close smoothly--it requires a little effort. And then, when you try to cut something, they don't cut very well, either. I was trying open a package that came in the mail and these scissors kept getting caught and kind of jammed up, and wouldn't cut, and they'd get stuck, and it was just much, much harder than it needed to be to open my package. Partway through, I gave up on using these and used a kitchen knife instead. It was a difference of night and day. (And my kitchen knives are not that fancy!)

I've tried to use them for other things in the past several days, and they are unexceptional in every case: they don't cut paper things well and they don't cut plastic wrap or packaging well. They are pretty useless.

These scissors SEEM like a good idea since they're Scotch brand and they boast a 5 year limited warranty, but they're worse than a generic version from the dollar store. And really, is it worth my time and trouble to try and use their warranty to get a refund of $2? Of course not.

Pass on these. Buy anything else instead.

I ordered these scissors, because my ones that I had suddenly started to come apart. I got these for really great price. I started to use the one right away and boy what a difference. It cut nicely didn't have any problems at all. If I find more on Amazon, I will be buying them.

The five pair of household scissors I had seemed to disappear.I didn't want to pay a lot for something I just use intermittently as I have cooking and sewing scissors for those purposes. These were a great price and the right size. I am not disappointed!! For the price they are very sturdy and the grip is comfortable. I will order additional pairs!!

How many times have you been reduced to trying to cut wrapping paper with a kitchen knife or trying to destroy an old credit card by bending it and wiggling it back and forth until it breaks? I ordered two of these for Christmas stocking stuffers and then realized I didn't have anything to cut the wrapping paper to wrap them. I'm keeping these two for myself and ordering to more for gifts. Makes me pretty sharp...............get it?.......pretty sharp..........never mind. Good quality scissors. Fit my hand well.

Red is awesome. The scissors have red handles, which go nicely with the decor of my office. Red also means DANGER or STOP. Which is a reminder to NOT run with scissors.

Never run with scissors.

Yes, they cut paper perfectly fine and hold together nicely.

I purchased these scissors at Big Lots for about two dollars. I wanted them primarily to cut paper and thin fabric. They are not too bad for the first item but they don't leave the cleanest cut with fabric. I did not find that the blades stuck together. They were smooth and the grip was fairly comfortable. They just don't seem sharp enough for any purpose other than cutting paper.

This product is made in China.
