I use these instead of puppy pads for my Boston Terrier. I've tried about every brand on Amazon, and this is hands down the best size and value for your money. These have the best amount of cotton in them (some of the others are so sparse that I experienced leaks on my floor). Also, when I lay them out, the cotton is evenly distributed (which was a problem with some of the other brands and/or sizes). these also have a nice thick 1.5" border around them for you to grab. Some of the others run cotton right up to the side, which can lead to some messes. Ick. Be careful, though. Make sure you're getting this order fulfilled by North Shore Care Supply. I have had other vendors fill this order only to be disappointed with a somewhat similar (but inferior) product.

These pads a really absorbent. There are different brands on Amazon, these are the good ones. I purchased a cheaper brand once, going by some reviews- and they were terrible compared to these.

We've been ordering these pads (which we use as pee pads for our two small dogs) from North Shore and other suppliers for the better part of two years. The North Shore pads have always been of a higher quality and as a result significantly more expensive. We're talking around 50% or more expensive than some of the other suppliers. Up until now this extra expense has been well worth it. We are willing to pay more for products that work.

This last box we received though has been awful. They are incapable of containing anything. Liquid literally runs straight through the pad to the floor below. We're 30 pads in to this box and so far every single one has leaked. Did I mention every single pad? Yeah. This morning I put down a fresh pad. My 12 lb dog used it. I picked it up right away to throw it away...completely wet all along the bottom. Oh yes, that's the bonus. Were the dog to simply pee on the vinyl floor there would just be a contained puddle to clean up. The pads, however, allow the liquid to run through and then spread all along the bottom of the plastic lining which creates a 23x36 inch puddle to clean up instead. Fun times. :-)

I don't completely understand why this is happening. We made a point of ordering from the same supplier. The pads look and feel just like the last ones. We certainly paid full price for them. They just plain ol' don't work. I really hope this is an aberration.

We had just gotten back from the hospital with our baby boy and had loved the convenience of the chux there, so I looked around and found these. They are great for "naked time", to air out his baby bits and to occasionally protect Mom from potentially leaky diapers when nursing on our way out the door (we don't want to mess up her outfit).

These pads have a thin plastic bottom liner, under the absorbant layer. They work well to keep a crib mattress from getting soiled. They are very thin, thus providing protection without adding bulk. (They also work well keeping a workbench clean.) They are failrly economical, from a disposable point of view. Based on the experience of having used 25 sheets out of the 100 sheet shipment, I rate the quality to be very uniform and very good. I did not check the liquid holding capacity for these pads. If that is an important consideration, check the product specs at the NorthShoreCare website. From an environmental standpoint, they should be disposed of like diapers.

I've bought MANY of the 22" x 36" size underpads available here on amazon, these are the best. I use em as liners for our ferret's Ferret Nation home & I put them in the corners of the room when the little maniac is running around. Even though I trim the fuzzies nails they're still relatively long and this pads work great. All the cheaper pads I've tried just don't cut it, they end up sticking to whatever they touch on the underside, I use them on my floor as well so we need a pad that can absorb and not get all sticky underneath. Make sure you open them by hand, not by holding one end and making a wave-like motion to snap them open (cotton may poof out all over the place:) I did that once and the cat went nuts trying to play with the cotton shower and now tries to play with the pads all the time. For the price these pads could be a bit stronger at holding the cotton in, IMO, and that's the reason I knocked off one star. but these are the best I can find so far. They make cleaning the fuzzies home much easier and wont leak through or stick to the floor.

Cannot say enough praise for this product by North Shore. They DO NOT LEAK through and it's absolutely an excellent buy for the high quality these pads have. My two dogs (cocker spaniels) use them and they are large enough for them. It's so nice to have a pad that stays in place and doesn't get flipped up corners by the slightest of air flow when one walks by. I've also become a new owner of a shihtzu and I use the same pads for her and cut them in half and place in her playpen and they hold up well and is economically going farther for the same price.
I've bought cheaper under pads for my pets and have found them to be stuck together and needed pulling apart or the filling when given a gentle shake to open, fell out and was messy and they also leaked through. Not much fun having to pick up the flimsy pads that sometimes spilled out over the edges as the thin layer couldn't contain the urine.
So from past experiences, the North Shore pads have not in anyway disappointed us and each package of 25 to 100 in a case, came individually wrapped along with a larger free sample under pad that would work for a very large dog to a large human.
I also recycle plastic, so the plastic bags were strong enough to reuse as liners in small wastebaskets. I will buy from North Shore again and again.
