It is a beautiful duvet cover set. The sateen has a nice sheen but does not look "shiny cheap" as some satin or sateen fabrics do. The mocha color looks amazing in my room. When I think of "mocha" I think dark.. this mocha has quite a bit of milk in it which I prefer (lighter color).

Good:

- Looks much more expensive than it is
- Washes well
- No/minimal loose or hanging threads
- The buttons are hidden at the opening of the duvet as it buttons on the inside

Could Improve:

- There are no ties or straps inside the duvet cover that holds the comforter in place. If you've ever used a duvet cover, you know this is a handy feature.

Need to know:

- When I unwrapped the set it had taken on a strong scent of the plastic it was wrapped in. If you are planning on purchasing and throwing immediately on a bed, you will need to wash it or air it out first.
- The picture looks as though the pleating is in a rectangle shape. It is actually an open rectangle as the top, by the pillows, does not have the pleating. The pleating resembles a rectangle "U" and the buttoned opening of the duvet is at the bottom by the foot of the bed.

The one thing that everyone who is contemplating buying this set needs to know is that the duvet cover is actually all one color - a very dark, deep gray (with a small hint of blue). In the picture, it appears that the cover is lighter in the middle of and outside of the pleats, which is very deceiving and inaccurate. If you read this review, are ok with the fact that the color differs from the picture, and still want to purchase this product, then you'll be happy with the construction. It's very sturdy, heavy (thick), and well made, and although I wouldn't call it plush or overly soft, the texture of the sheets and pillow covers are very comfortable.

This is the nicest duvet cover set I have! I was so excited when it came that I put it right on the bed and it looked fantastic. And it was soooooo comfortable. My husband came upstairs and proclaimed that we'd stolen someones bed from a magazine.

The color of the satiny cloth is cocoay, there is a thick tuxedo pleating border, and heavy duty buttons to help lock the duvet in place. This queen size fit my duvet and bed very well. We've purchased other duvet covers in the past which have been ill fitting or didn't have a bottom that buttoned(which is just silly). Even after I laundered it, the duvet kept its sheen. It was a bit wrinkly when I next put it on the bed and I was disappointed, but within a day or two it seemed to smooth itself back out and even the pleating looks great. And here I thought I'd have to iron it which really would have lowered the stars on this review as I do not like ironing. The shams easily slip onto your pillows and fit even a standard size nicely. I'd maybe give the shams a touch of starch but I still love this set.

Based on the good reviews and the looks of this Duvet set I purchased this as an upgrade on an old comforter I was using. The Duvet cover looks really good and is incredibly comfortable.

A few minor complaints:
- The picture represents a tri colored cover, with a lighter shade in the middle, a dark border at the edges of the bed, and a middle color draped over the side of the bed. In reality these colors are all almost identical. I was hoping to find something with a little variety in the colors and intentionally avoided ordering a single color cover, but ended up with one anyones. That being said, it still looks nice and I'm keeping it.
- I have a queen bed and ordered the Full/Queen size. The border lines (the U shaped accent) don't align with the edge of the bed like in the picture, but end a good 6 inches or so from the edge of the bed, so it is more of a design on the top of the bed instead of something that helps define the end of the bed. Again, not a major issue, but different than expected.

Stop looking and just buy this one.

I scoured every marshals, home goods, overstock, and target for miles and hours looking for (in order of importance): soft and cozy, good quality, good bargain, not cheap looking duvet cover. Ladies and Gentleman this is it! Feels wonderful out of the bag, even better after a wash. Looks clean and sophisticated without looking stuffy. I purchased this in white, i think they called it "cloud"

What you should know:

I have seen multiple reviews complaining that the colors are different in the picture than in person. The fabric is all the same, so any color variations seen in pictures is due to lighting or image manipulation. The pleating is real pleating, meaning there are 30 tiny folds made and then sewn down to create the large lines seen. I think the seller intentionally created color variance to showcase the pleating. I personally was relieved to see that it was true pleating and not a cheap die creating the lovely lines.

Pillow cases look better in the pictures than in person, but they also feel 100% better than decorative cases. I thought they would be the type you toss to the floor when you actually sleep, but they are very soft and smooth and comfortable.
