If I walk more than 10-12 feet away from the receiver, the signal starts to drop out. It's not just the iPhone, it happens with my MacBook Pro too. I have an airport express which works infinitely better. Only problem is the only way to use the iPhone with it is to use the Remote app to control iTunes. I'd like to have the iPhone linked with the Bluetooth directly, but the range is sub-par when I can't even go to the other side of the same room without the sound cutting out.

One of the cool things, is you can have all sounds out of your machine play through bluetooth. So you can use Plex, VLC, Quicktime etc. if you wanted to play sound from a movie wirelessly. Although I believe it only outputs stereo sound, so that is a little crippling too.

I usually use the reviews on amazon to decide my final purchase, but this product only had one. I took the risk of purchasing this product and I can say I am verry happy with my purchase. I am using this product to connect to my receiver with my netbook and play audio on my deck area. Only plays audio no video but I have no problem with that. Range is vey descent, I have moved around with my netbook to ranges of 10 ft and no problem. I recommend this product but just make sure it's right for what you want.

After plugging this into your receiver, be extremely careful about bumping it. I hit mine with my hand and broke the connector off of it. This is a silly connection and it needs to be either integrated into the receiver or made more robust.

Not thrilled to spend another $100. Bummer.
