This filter along with the pond pump filter keeps my waterfall nice and clean. Occasionally add some water clarifier solution , sold by Amazon, and your waterfall pond will sparkle. I place a galvanized wire screen mesh over the waterfall fill tank to keep my pine trees needles out.

Always a great filter pad and I have been using them for years. I replace it every other year or season. If you don't change it at least every other season or two they start to break down and start to fail.

This filter is better than most that come with bio filters for ponds. It's dense and collects a lot impurities. I've used my original for several months and bought a replacement that's still in the bag. It's still in the bag because I've discovered MATALA rigid pond media. Matala is the best. I will never use anything else in my pond. It's rigid, thick, and provides a great environment for beneficial bacteria. Easy to change and will last forever.

This is a tetra replacement for my tetra waterfall. This is packaged in tetra package and seems to be better than the one that came with the waterfall, this one is much thicker
