It's a small container full of silicone. What can go wrong?

As others noted the packaging left a great deal of empty space but the description on Amazon only list the shipping wt. Also, unless you work on watches as a living, this container should last decades. Remember, when applying, use sparingly but enough to cover the gasket.

One minor item, the plastic jar arrived covered in dirt/ grease. I washed it off with dish soap & water.

Took a little while to get it. Labeled as "for watches." No wonder there was not much product. Used it to grease the pull-out hoses in a couple of new faucets prior to installation. It works well for that purpose.

I was not sure how to rate this item. I bought it because a watch I had was getting foggy inside the case. Many articles I read sadi this was the stuff to use to help with this problem. I am a layman at this so i followed the instructions detailed, opened the case, applied a thin layer to both sides of the o-ring. Unfortunately, it did not stop the problem. If you are not sure or have never done this type of watch repair before i would skip this product.

I ordered this for two watch gaskets since I was replacing the batteries. The container is 1 1/2 inches tall, which is smaller than I expected - The product image is actually about 50% bigger than the actual product. When I opened the container, I was disappointed to see that it was only half full. There was a large void on one side of the container. I know that you need very little for a gasket, but I did expect the small container to be full. Imagine buying a jar of peanut butter and seeing that one half of the jar was empty! I contacted customer service but they were not apologetic. They basically said that's the way it is. The product quality seems to be fine but I think the price I paid was too much for this small quantity. I am a big believer in customer service and I feel they dropped the ball on this one.

This is a fine product of Silicone Grease. I use this to maintain all the watch gaskets which come my way through my Watch repair and Watch maintenance business. It is very important to have a good Silicone Grease on hand whenever servicing a watch because watches with gaskets can dry and crack leaving the prospect of dirt and water entering the mechanisms within the watch movement and damaging the watch movement. This is an essential product which is required for all serious watch makers and hobbyists alike. Get some now!

This is good to have if your collection of watches contains some oldies but goodies. Whether or not you're replacing the O-ring that seals the caseback, this is good stuff to apply, especially to any watches that haven't seen a new battery in a number of years but still has a good enough O-ring. It's stocky as hell, very sloppy stuff, but that's thick grease for you, especially when it's silicone-based. You just have to deal with it.

This grease is the typ recommended to lube the waterproof gaskets of watches. It is extremely thick and thus doesn't "run" .... an absolute necessity with a fine watch is grease &/or oil that does NOT run.

What can you say about grease?! I bought this for keeping my waterproof camera case seals preserved and lubed. Remember, a little goes a LONG way - I use a toothpick for applying it. IF this is super-refined, the price is about right for what you get. You can buy much cheaper silicone grease if all you are doing is plumbing/automotive stuff, but don't expect it to be free-flowing 15 years from now, it 'gums' up on you. However, if you are giving me a container of it, I would expect the container to be full, or state in an obvious place on the webpage that the container will NOT be full...
