These little tools work exactly as promised - cleaning up excess and leaving a smooth, professional-looking line of caulk. I used this to finish caulking my kitchen tile backsplash and it was perfect, even on the inside corners and under-cabinet edges. Each corner of the caulking tools has a different angle or size to match any job you may have around the house. They are easy to use and to clean up. I noticed that one reviewer noted blue marks from the pliable plastic. I only had one of these when I pressed too hard, and figured it out right away; I was able to remove the blue mark. Also, the plastic is soft and can wear, but I use a sharp blade to recut the angle or take off little crumbs.

This product worked well for me, when I was done it DID NOT look like a 4-yr old had done the work. I recommend this product.

Great Idea, takes some practice. Use the tapered edge of the caulking tool as the leading edge and slowly and with even pressure glide across the surface. Don't use too much pressure. The trick is to use medium, even pressure throughtout your work area so it creates an even surface.
Also do not use too much silicone and work on one area at the time, for example, if you are caulking a bathtub, treat each edge of the bath tub as a separate work area so the surface of the silicone doesnt have the change to start getting hard. It will help you create a smoother edge. Resist the urge to go over the surface again once the silicone has started getting harder, you will only make it worse

I think the people who gave this bad reviews didn't use this thing correctly. This thing worked amazing for me - a million times better than my finger alone. THE KEY IS TO PRESS HARD WITH THE TOOL. I used the tiny one for my entire bathroom because I just liked it the best to begin with and it was the easiest to maneuver. Think of this thing as a squeegee. The harder you press it, the more extra stuff it takes up with your pass over the caulk you've just put down. You will have some cleaning up to do, following, especially if your floor or tile or whatever is a dark color. I have black and white linoleum checkered floor and I had to go in and do some detail cleaning on the black areas. It looked so much better than the one wall I did with just my finger (which I re-did after I used this thing once).

These little tools make leaving visually appealing caulk lines very easy. I've always done a good job with a soapy wet finger but decided to give these a try. Kept my finger tips from getting sore during a large project with a lot of linear feet of caulking. Easy to clean and still look new after a lot of use.

The Pro Caulk kit does what it says. Used it on several home projects involving silicone caulk in the bathroom and painters caulk in the other rooms. The scrappers made perfect lines at the angles I wanted. Just wash in between uses and you will have no issues. 4-stars because they are a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Don't buy. There is a review talking about how the blue came off. This happened to me. I bought a tool at Lowes or HD can't remember that is a red stick with a rubber end and this works far better and cheaper.

I re-caulked a bath shower with silicone caulk and this caulking tool worked perfectly. Silicone caulk can be messy and I know from past experience using your finger as a smoothing tool does not work so well. This tool avoids all that mess and I got a nice clean bead of caulk.

There are three plastic shaping tools supplied in the kit. Each one has a variety of corner bead sizes and shapes; square, radius, 45° beveled. The plastic is slightly soft to the touch, which actually makes it work really well as a squeegee when you smooth out the caulk.

The tool has a beveled side and a flat side with the edge of the tool being chisel shaped so the contact surface is relatively narrow. I held the tool at at 90° angle to the wall of the shower and the shower base and pushed the flat side "forward" thru the freshly applied silicone caulk. As excess caulk built up on the front of the tool I removed the tool from the surface and wiped it clean with a paper towel. In a few minutes I had the silicone bead looking nice a neat. The slightly rubbery quality of the plastic really seemed to help remove any excess caulk beyond the edge of the bead. A far better looking caulk bead than using ye-old-finger.
