I love them, nice and comfortable, I like the sole, looks and it's rough/tough to keep your feet safe from rocks or sharp objects if you are walking on the beach by the rocks, I haven't used them yet on a real ocean scenario but I'm sure they will work fine to me, I put my open heel U.S. Divers fins on and they fit perfect and comfortable in the foot pocket, talking about these fins, these are the same as the Akona Caicos and Promate pace, just to give you an idea. I'm a size 11 in shoes, but my real foot size is a 10 1/2, I like to leave extra room for comfort and I guess all people do the same. I was reading the reviewes about the size and peolpe were saying that they runs large, in my case and following their advices, I got the size 10 which is very exact on my foot, from heel to toe, I think you don't need to have extra room on these types of shoes. So I guess they runs a little big only, like in my case, the 10 is a real 10 1/2, I feel a snug comfortable fit., great product. In my case sizes will be like this: 10 is 10 1/2, 11 is 11 1/2, 9 is 9 1/2......etc...

I have size 13 feet, and ordered 13. I had almost an extra inch in the toe, so returned them and went with a 12.

Other than that, they're exactly what we wanted - enough protection in the sole for walking on lava, but not a heavy boot at all.

I bought these boots recently and they fit loose, I need to get 1 or 1.5 size less than usual so they fit better. They are of great quality, just buy them smaller so they fit right.

Based on other reviews, I bought a size smaller than what I normally wear. I wear size 8 in regular shoes, and bought size 7 for these boots. My toes do come almost to the tip, but that's okay because the neoprene is so soft and stretchy. I wear these inside my adjustable, open-back dive / snorkel fins to keep my feet from rubbing inside the fins and getting sore spots. I use large size fins specifically so I can wear boots or water shoes inside them, and don't know how these boots would fit inside medium or small fins.

They also have a good grip on the deck of a wet boat, and the sole is hard enough that I'm comfortable walking down a dirt road in them. If I wanted, I could wear them from the house to the truck to the boat for a dive then walk down a road and back home again. That's how versatile they are!

I bought these to use with my ScubaPro Jet Sport open heel fins for diving and snorkeling. Although the bootie was comfortable, and worked well on the dive boat, they were too short in the back. I got blisters on both ankles after my dives. I did use waterproof tape for the rest of the vacation, but I won't use these boots with fins again. They'd be fine as water shoes for beaches that are rocky.

As for size, I wear a women's 8 (sometimes an 8.5). The men's 6/women's 7 fit me just fine.

These are great boots, I don't use these for scuba diving but I don't see why not. I mainly use these walking up and down the beach and getting in and out of the surf zone. For those familiar with the breaking surf, if your wearing most shoes, they fill up with sand quickly. The mares have elastic around the opening which prevent sand from getting down into the bottom of the shoe and hurting your feet causing blisters. After about a year of heavy use the boot did finally develop a hole near the big toe, although I use it on occasion in this condition. I just ordered another pair, if these last as long as the other pair I will be very pleased. Keep in mind, I think others will get much more use than I did, I used these nearly every weekend for 3 to 5 hours of beach walking each time.

These were a fabulous buy. I wanted them for walking on the beach in Florida. Frankly, I was afraid they would be hot and uncomfortable. I could not have been more wrong. They are super comfy and light weight. Flexible and sturdy at the same time. Also great for walking on slippy surfaces. They did an excellent job of keeping pebbles and shells out of them. Yes, they do get SOME sand in them, but not an excessive amount. I'll never go back to water shoes or sandals on the beach again. These will be taken along on every trip. A must have!

Update......9/18/13

I just returned from Crystal River Florida where I wore these for a scalloping trip. They worked wonderfully with my Tusa fins and were great walking on the bottom as well as in the boat. I wore them in and out of the water on the boat for almost 2 solid days. Very pleased and show no wear. Sizing in an 11 was perfect for me.

First impressions......

I haven't had a chance to use them, but they seem well made. Good warm water boot and I have little doubt they will last. The hight is perfect with my fins. I tried the Oniell reactor first and it was just too low cut.

I'm more writing this concerning sizing. Everyone says they run big, so wearing a 12 wide or 13, I ordered on the smaller end at a 12. They were still a full size too large. I swapped them for an 11 and they fit like a glove.
