Not sure what other people are expecting. TWELVE flashlights for SEVEN dollars. They worked, they were brightly colored, and they were the perfect size for kiddie hands at my daughter's 4th birthday. Even after adding a single AA battery in each, I feel like I got what I paid for. Don't expect great things from something that costs 60 cents.

These flashlights came right away after I ordered them. The size and color were just as I expected. I used them for party favors, and the children really liked them! (I installed batteries in them first, and checked them all to make sure they worked. I was happy that all of them did!) However, they are, after all, simple cheap little flashlights, so they aren't really bright, and they don't last forever. If you want just a simple cute flashlight that works, this should do the job, but if you want them for camping or something where reliability and brightness are important, I would try something else instead.

I was looking for a cheap flashlight for a goody bag/craft item for my son's camping party, and that's what I got. Are they going to light up a large area? No. Will they last a few years? Probably not. But for the kids to decorate and have a few hours of fun at a party, they were perfect.

I had low expectations for 12 flashlights at this price. They were favors for my daughter's camp-out themed birthday, along with cheap compasses. To my delight, all 12 worked. Today, 4 days after the party, I found one in our grass. It rained a few times and the grass was dewey this morning, but this little light still shined! No, I would not go on a midnight walk by the light of this thing, but they are a fun and cheap little light.

You get what you pay for. I needed 15 flashlights for a school play and these were the perfect fit, however, they are cheaply made and some didn't work. The switches break easily. Because I bought extra, we were in luck.

These are handy, but not very bright. Don't expect to have the whole walkway where you are headed to be lit up. It's more for reading the TV guide so you don't bother your sleeping partner with an overhead light.

These are good enough for one novelty use. Some will break; some will be hard to turn on or off. Some might have the string detach. Be aware: The bulbs are not covered with a protective flat surface. This might be a concern with use by some children. I also can't say how long some might last, as I gave them to 70 children to keep as presents after their concert, and no one has reported back either way.

SO DANGEROUS…IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!
I bought these for my 7 year old daughter's sleepover party. When they arrived I realized I had to put AA batteries in each, so when I twisted off the black top to do so, I sliced my finger on a super sharp plastic edge. There was basically a sharp square tab sticking out from the colored part of the flashlight that cut and drew blood from my thumb. I took a look at the others and about 75% of them had the same sharp edge. I ended up taking a nail file and smoothing down any sharp edges so it would not hurt the girls. Even though I did this, I was still a bit worried about giving them to them. So, a few minutes after I handed them out to the guests, who were in their sleeping bags, one girl brought her flashlight to me and said, "This smells funny!" She was holding it by the string (thank God) because the whole flashlight was burning hot and I dropped it! I immediately took them all away from the girls! They could've caused a fire and set the sleeping bags and house on fire injuring everyone!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE THESE!!! Spend more and get a quality flashlight made in the USA!
