No problems "brushing" our dogs' teeth now - our pets love the flavor of this toothpaste.

We have 5 dogs and 3 cats. Vet bills are high. Keeping their teeth clean is one way to lower vet bills and keep our pets healthier and happier. I was told by our vet a long time ago to always buy enzymatic animal toothpaste. This way you do not have to use a brush, just put some of the toothpaste on your finger and rub a little on the teeth on each side of their mouth, the enzymes in the toothpaste will do the rest of the work. Now teeth time is quick, easy and they love the taste of the toothpaste.

For 14 years we've fought with our dog to brush her teeth (generally just giving up for large swaths of time). We changed to a new vet and were introduced to this toothpaste and our dog now gets *excited* when she sees the brush. Our vet said the great thing about this stuff is that even if you don't do the best job with the brushing, the enzymes will do some of the work (just get it in their mouth). At our house, we're big fans!

My cats don't love to get their teeth brushed, but they put up with it. This toothpaste has no smell that I can detect, however I was surprised the paste is brown in color. I have to wipe my pure white cat's face after brushing so her mouth area isn't brown. Other than that, it does the job.

I probably wouldn't have hands left to write this review if I tried to actually brush Juniper's teeth. Instead, we spread some toothpaste on a crunchy dental treat as her pre-bed snack. Compared to the salmon-flavored gel formula by CET, this chicken-flavored paste takes much less cajoling before she will condescend to eat it "because I want to, not because you're asking me to."

I use this enzyme toothpaste on all 5 of my dogs - they love the chicken flavor and I reward them after every brush with a Greenie so they actually get excited when they see me break out the toothbrushes. If your dog has plaque buildup, use this every day for 2-3 weeks and then 2-3 times a week after that; I saw marked improvement in plaque and breath after doing this routine. Highly Recommend

I wouldn't have believed it. As other reviewers have described, my longhair dachshund Bear Bug fought tooth-brushing. I could probably add negotiation skills to my Linked-In profile based solely on these episodes. Bear Bug loves the taste of Enzadent. Now that he associates that taste with his toothbrush, he doesn't resist when I open his mouth. He will stay still enough that I actually get a decent job done. I'll be telling my vet so she can suggest this brand to other owners of independently-minded dogs. Great product.

My two pugs love the taste of this toothpaste. They look forward to having their teeth brushed. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because one of my dogs' breath is still stinky. He has more plaque build up on his teeth but I'm hoping over time of using this toothpaste that I improves.

Just tried using this on my cat for the first time. He was obviously reluctant but he didn't run. I bought a cat toothbrush, too. I would give it 5 stars but it didn't really have much in directions on it. I wasn't sure whether to wet the toothbrush or not. I think it worked okay.
