Fat cat toys are the best toys for rough and tumble dogs. I can't keep a store bought toy in play by my 2 bruisers for more then 10 minutes. They tear them apart. Never hesitate to buy the fat cat toys as they have no detachable eyes for dogs to swallow (which mine has done in the past almost ended up at the hospital). We've bought them all! You can throw them in the washer and dryer and they come out fresh and still squeak!

This toy used to be available in local stores, but is no longer stocked. I ordered this one to replace my boxer's "mean kitty" that another dog had tried to disembowel. The other dog tried to shred it, but only succeeded in tearing a hole in the main body. The legs and tail remained intact. My dog has played with the old toy for 3 years. My sister has 3 of these that are 8 years old! They are cherished by a Golden Retriever and a Visla. They even take them outdoors with them.

These toys hold up to the normal day to day tugging and playing really well. No toy is safe from a dog who is intent on ripping it apart (some dogs want to remove the squeekers from this type of toy), and after the other dog tore this one up I took it to the local shoe repair and had it repaired. It has lasted another 2 years since the repair.
The only reason I only gave it 4 stars (instead of 5) is because I have not removed it from the packaging it came in, yet. I'm waiting for the old toy to finally give up, and then I'll give my boxer the new one. But, the new one looks and feels exactly like the old one.

I also order one smaller version of this toy, and gave it to a friends Papillion. My friend told me that her little wild nut just loves it, plays with it every day. She said that all his other toys have only lasted at the most a week before he demolishes them. This one is going on a month now, with no damage.

This is a great toy for dogs that aren't heavy chewers like mine. I've bought them in the passed for my other dogs and they lasted forever, well worth the purchase. However, my 8 month old chocolate lab that I have now was able to chew a hole in this toy within 5 minutes of having it. So basically, it depends on how heavy a chewer your dog is. Other than that, great price, product arrived quickly and fit it's description.

We purchased these thinking they would be the same quality and durability as the "Dirty Rotten Kitty" we found at a local pet store several years ago. Same pattern, same funny design, but lighter weight material and stitching. It appears the makers of the original kitty have been acquired by another company. Sadly, along the way they have cheapened their product. This one was ripped to shreds in less than 10 minutes by a miniature poodle. In contrast, the original vintage lasted for 3 years of constant play. These kitties have lost their way and have wandered into the land of cheap. Bad kitty!

One tough toy. This cat has lasted and I have been through some serious toys lately with my Schnauzer/Poodle mix. He is tough on toys, He has totally killed off some "tough" toys in under 5 minutes. Not so with the Fat Cat toys. He and the Corgi get into tug of war battles and I hear stitches pulling but, so far so good. I had also purchased the chicken and had to resew the belly with fireline, he has a goal in mind when he attacks these things, he wants to de-stuff it. So, the fireline is holding up nicely. Here is a suggestion to the mfg, please consider using Fireline to sew the seams on all of the toys, nothing can get through it. It dulls scissors and my Schnoodle can't chew through it.

This is hands down my dog's favorite toy. This order was actually to replace the other one he had been carrying around like a baby for the past 2 years. To note, he is a 92# dog that is far from gentle, but he loves this toy. We also foster dogs, so this has bee pulled on and thrown, chewed on and used for tug of war for a long time. I am highly impressed with its durability and the fact that in 2 years it still hasnt lost any limbs. I will buy this over and over again as long as my dog is living :)

We just love these Fat Cat toys. They are sturdy and the dogs love them. After my dog tears it open to get the squeeker out he usually pulls out most of the stuffing. Then he is satisfied to throw it around or carry with him wherever he goes. They last forever!

We buy our dog ones of these every year. The older he gets, the longer they last. As a pup, he always had them ripped open and the squeaker out in about a week. But he is 11 now. Big Mean Kitty was always his favorite. He made this one last almost 4 months. He rips off the appendages and then starts pulling out the stuffing at which point we throw it away. They are not indestructible (he is half lab and half australian shepard...about 60 pounds) but they are the longest lasting toy we've found.
