Haha as I am going through all my purchases to write up reviews this one makes me laugh. I bought this because my son got this same pluto at the disney store when he was 14 months old. It became the lovey for him and we ended up having to buy a few more as back ups in case it got lost (or needed to be washed-he was that obsessed) Now he is almost 6 and we still have two of these dogs (who knows where we lost dog 3 along the way) They are still holding up and have been dragged literally all over the world, hugged day and night and dragged by the ears, tail etc. My husband and I have actually commented how well they sewed the ears and tails to the body because this thing has put up with years of heavy use and dragging by the tail and I've never once had to sew it. Super soft when it started out. Of course after a million washes and hugs later he doesn't quite look as fresh but overall he has been a quality best friend for our little guy.

Got me a pseudo-nephew named Zack, who loves Disney. Well, what better thing to get a Disney lover than some plush toys that will last practically forever, even if little Zack grows out of it, there will be more kids coming...(I think) that can love this guy too. You should have seen his face light up when he saw the toys! Oh boy! Based on what I observed it's made of high quality materials put together well. I foresee not issues in the near or distant future, at least no more than any normal 2 year old can muster.
