Thank you to the manufacturer for these. They seem very safe, no dye that comes off, no dangerous parts to swallow. NOTE to shoppers with kittens. My pretty fearless 6-month old kitten was afraid of these when she tried to carry them by the ball on the tail and the mouse would swing and hit her. I therefore cut off the ball tail, shortening the tail as well, and from then on she has LOVED them tremendously and plays with them with great joy and activity. I tend to find them stowed away in pairs around the house (she does this with balls, too, placing multiples of the same item together, never mixing balls with mice...BRILLIANT kitten!). So if you buy them (and I highly recommend them) and your kitten or cat shows fear, just perform surgery by eliminating the ball on the end of the tail. The rattle inside these is a definite attractor for kittens and cats. I think these are safer than many of the dyed fur mice that have plastic eyes or that have dye that bleeds.

My cat had surgery this afternoon and has been in the "hospital" for 2 days after chewing off the tail and the pompon getting stuck in her duodenum.

I bought these toy mice for my cats....they didn't have any of this particular toy....I have 5 cats...and some of them play with different toys....These mice are pretty popular with several of them....HINT....for all my little cat toys--I put them in a baggie of catnip after I open them, and periodically put them in again so they smell great for the cats that like catnip in my group...
I was very pleased with these...and they seem like a very good quality for the toy.

Long time Petstages Customer. Pet stages MUST have changed manufacturers sometime in the past couple of years because the new products are NOT the same quality as the old products. I've had my 2 Girls for 6 years. Twice Mice have, in the past, lasted a year or more. The Twice Mice that were sent this week... fell apart at the seam the same day I gave it to The Girls. The Girls are NOT destructive cats. They do not rip toys, furniture, or home accents apart... ever. I found stuffing all over my bed and I found more stuffing on the floor along with the bell and the mouse. Now, this is IRKSOME, because if my Girls ATE the stuffing... that could pose serious health risk. I'M NOT HAPPY!

My Mother has 2 boys and they love the Kitty Cuddle Pal. She got her boys at the end of 2011. The first Kitty Cuddle Pal lasted a long time. The new Kitty Cuddle Pals only last weeks before they fall apart.

This is hilarious.... Petstages Customer Service is only in the office 2 days a week! HAHAHAHA!!! Ok... how can you even call yourself Customer Service??

My 6 week old kitten loves these! The mouse part rattles and the tail is really long. He can bat at it regardless of which end I'm holding it. He'll also throw it around and wrestle with it. Also, pretty durable construction. I love the Petstages brand!

The cats love these adorable toys but they fell apart in less than one week. I am finding parts all over. Were these made in China? The many other Petstages toys that are used and loved by my two cats are high quality and some even non-toxic. I try to stay away from products made in China.

The first time I ordered this, it was great and my cat loved them.... so I decided to
order more to have around the house. Unfortunately, the news ones BARELY
rattle and some don't rattle at all (I ordered 2 pks. (4 mice)). My Cat loves the
rattle on the original ones I bought and that's what gets his attention and keeps him
playing with it. The new ones are no different than every other silent toy we have
in the house. So it's a crap shoot when you order these. Sometimes they'll rattle
really good... and sometimes they'll rattle ever so slightly... and sometimes not at all.
